Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Baby Playzone: Pull Up Ball BlastCustomer Review: Loved it but she outgrew it fast Summary: 5 Stars
My youngest got this toy from Grandma for her first birthday. She was already walking very well and so it didn't really help her learn gross motor skills by helping her stand. She loved putting the balls down it and hearing the music. Thank goodness it has two settings for the music and you can also turn it off if you like. The only thing I didn't like about it was first it was kind of a pain to put together. It was easy to read the instructions, but it seemed like the pieces wouldn't fit together but they finally did. The other thing I didn't like was how easy the balls go zipping out of the toy and disappear all over the living room. Then when she wants to play with it you have to dig them out from where they ran under the couch. Oh yeah! The kittycat likes the balls too so that's another cause for the balls to disappear. I would still reccommend this for the older infant who is about to become very mobile. I wish my girl had gotten this about six months sooner than when she did, cause she would have gotten more use out of it.
Customer Review: My son likes it.. but I was disappointed! Summary: 3 Stars
I just purchased this item a few weeks ago and it was such a chore to put together. It took a combined effort by my husband and I to finally put the thing together. The pieces are very difficult to install. However, my son does like the toy, he likes the lights, music and the spinning circle at the top of the toy. However, I was disappointed to see that the balls don't fall down the 3 sides, you literally have to push them through and my son is 8 months, 20 lbs and very strong, and he can't push them through. You almost need an adult to do it. Also, the stability of the toy is an issue. He is at the stage of pulling himself up and uses the handle bars to do so, however, I have to have my feet firmly planted so that the toy won't tip over. I'm disappointed with this toy company for not designing this toy with more safety concerns. Overall, I think the toy was poorly designed, constructed and manufactured. Although my son, does like the toy, I as his mother, and throughly disappointed with the safety issues.

Customer Review: Boring for my baby Summary: 2 Stars
My 9 month old daughter received this as a gift about a month ago. She played with it for a few minutes at a time and quickly realized what she was supposed to do with the balls. She stood up, put a ball in the top, pushed it through, watched it come out, and then looked at me like, "Now what?" My daughter is content to play with books, so it's not like she has to have a high level of entertainment to keep her interested in something. I've continued to play with her some, but she quickly loses interest in this toy and crawls away. I find the music to be loud and annoying, too. The balls always come out one of two holes (we even tried to adjust the level to make them come out more evenly), but no luck. Although it's colorful and LOOKS like it would be a lot of fun, it is a real disappointment, especially after reading the glowing online reviews. This toy is going in the back of the closet for a few months...if not forever! There are better toys out there for your money, and I am glad I did not waste our own money on this one.
Customer Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
My son loves this toy! He's 10 months old and plays with it constantly. He quickly caught on how to put the balls in the hole will sit for what seems likes hours dropping the balls in and picking them up. He is also having a blast experimenting with putting other objects in and seeing if they'll roll down the spirals- of course, not everything fits the way he wants! This is his by far his favorite toy. My 4 year old also enjoys playing with it- he likes to press the button that makes music so he can dance around. Putting it together was a bit daunting, the pieces were a little difficult to fit into place. Overall though, this is one of the best toys I've ever bought my kids. One thing is I wish they sold replacement balls! We've already lost 2.As for the safety issues some have brought up, we've never had a problem with this toy tipping over. My son always pulls himself up on it, and has never had it tip or fall on him. Maybe we're lucky, but it's been a sturdy toy for us. I still would recommend it to anyone.
Customer Review: a decent toy for baby Summary: 4 Stars
While Gen-X parents might really dig the techno-ized music that plays from the toy (I admit that is what attracted me) it doesn't seem to amuse baby too much, but thankfully there are a few lights that go off while it plays. This is a good toy for the money but my major concern is that it LOOKS so sturdy in the store but it is so easy for baby to try to climb it for cruising and the whole thing will tip right over. I keep thinking there must be a way it could have been made to be more sturdy! My baby likes to push the balls through so they drop and roll to the bottom and he has recently discovered the knobs that trigger the music. He will stoop to pick the balls from the bottom (only if they roll out of the side he is currently occupying). Bottom line - if you want to save money buy the Crawl & Cruise Playground instead. That is a really spectacular toy and so worth the money. If money is no object and you got room in your home, this is a nice addition for baby (just remember to sit by baby the whole time).
