Whoever sang the songs that this train plays has really earned her dough. She warbles, she falsettos, she vibratos.. she sells it, man. She's a much more enthusiastic singer than the woman in the Fisher Price Fake Noah's Ark, I tell you this much. I really appreciate when someone goes above and beyond the call of duty for things that don't really matter, like singing a stupid animal song on a kid's toy.
The toy itself is good, as well. My son loves to throw the gorilla at me (I think the Gorilla is actually from the fake Noah's Ark) and my daughter likes to throw the little chimp at my face. It teaches hand-eye coordination and.. ?
I'm not sure. Learning about animals, I guess.

I had forgotten this gift for my 10 month old son on Christmas day. It was purchased early and tucked in the back of the tree. My husband and I had fought with packaging and batteries all day~gift after gift. When I saw the last present, we were dreading opening another horrible box. We opened the box and poured the toy out!! Whoo hoo!!!
It was the best gift to end with ~ it just so happened that it was my son's favorite too! He has enjoyed this little train and played with it non-stop since Christmas morning. I can see this toy being a favorite for the next few years!
Everything should be packaged this way! Bravo for the packaging!!!

We bought this as a Holiday Gift for our 12 month old twins. We were delighted. The quality and ingenuity of all the elements is phenomenal. Developmentally there are so many details on the animals,for example their foot pads are colorfully textured! The Polar Bear and the Monkey House come with babies, food, and an accessory bird! This has made me want to buy them the whole collection, not just for the train but for all the animals and their ecosystems. What a great way to teach your little ones about colors, animals, what they eat and where they are from?!!! The train is great bonus!! Way to go Fisher Price, you have lived up to your reputation on this one!!!!Customer Review: Tons of fun for your little one!

This is another toy that was given to my (then 9 month old) son for Christmas last year. He is now 20 months old and still playing with this at least every other day. When he plays with it, I would have to say he plays at least 30 minutes or more. The fact that it just moves all over the place is so FUN! My son follows it around everywhere!
The woman that sings is kind of bittersweet....I like that she is so enthusiastic about singing for a children's toy (my son enjoys it), BUT after he pushes it about 20 times in 20 minutes...it gets kind of annoying...but you can turn the volume down....so that helps.
Great toy to put on your holiday gift list!

My daughter received this for her 2nd birthday, and it's been a big hit with her. She is a little scared of the train, but she loves the animals. We've been getting her more used to the train by putting the animals in and then sending it off down the hall. She runs after them to "rescue" the animals :-) Then she goes and gets the train so we can do it all again. It's a fun toy for increasing fine motor skills (pressing the buttons), sensory awareness (the animals have different textures on them and make sounds when their joints are moved) and visual perception if the child is trying to take animals out of the train or put them in as it is driving.
