As a new Grandparent I am always fearful that my gift won't be age appropriate or will be tossed aside after five minutes. I bought the Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo-Choo [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] for my one-year-old granddaughter but her three-year-old brother also enjoyed playing with it. The animals are just the right size for a one year old's hands.The animals could be put in a variety of positions so she could start to use her imagination. The bright colors of the train and the animals held her attention. The music was fun, not at all irritating. It is a toy that she will enjoy playing with it for several years. The packaging was great with no assistance she could open the gift. The only complaint I have is that the joints on one of the animals came loose and would not hold its position. Otherwise the product is well made and seems to hold up to a rambunctious three year old(her brother). The gift is a real keeper,you can't go wrong with this purchase.Customer Review: Still Lovin' It.

I got this train set for my son when he turned 9 months old. At first he was frightened of it (it's pretty big and can be loud) and he would get mad and cry when it would drive off without him. But, after a few days of playing with it and getting used to it, he loved it. He quickly learned how to make the train go, how to push the little horn to make the animal noises and how to make the little songs play by putting an animal inside the engine. He mostly plays with the engine and the animals separately though. He will be 12 months in a few days and he still plays with parts or all of this toy every single day. He also has the lion, zebra and hippo extras that go along with it. The animals in this set are sooooo cute! My only complaint is that the joints of the animals can wear out fast with lots of play. Some of the legs of the giraffe and the hippo don't click and stay stiff as they used to, but that doesn't really detract from the greatness of this toy.Customer Review: Love it!!

My foster daughter is 6 months old. She received this toy when she was 4.5 months old for Christmas. At first she would just look at the toy and chew on the animals, but that was before she could sit up. Now that she is sitting up, she loves this toy! She will sit and chew on the bars and make the music go off over and over.
I like that it is educational, and the music is catchy as well. It is not an overly annoying toy, and it has volume control.
My 6 year old niece and 4 year old foster son also love this toy, they were fighting over who got to play with it, so I am sure it will be used for a long time. It has two modes, one for when they are immobile and want to sit and play with it, and than when they get older you can switch it so the train moves when it sings.
I am very glad I purchased this toy, and I will be purchasing the extra carts and animals that go with it soon!
Customer Review: Cute Idea - Big Let Down

Although the idea behind this toy is exceptional, it's been a huge let down. It was purchased for Christmas for my 7 month old, and considering the price (we bought all of the additional animals) it's really disappointing. It plays the same song over and over again, the additional cars easily detach and after a very short time my daughter loses interest in the train - which is typical for her age. But she does like the animals and they are a great size for her to hold, especially the little ones that came along with the polar bear and monkey (although I took away the one small monkey because she can easily choke herself on the tail). Definitely wouldn't buy it again. I expected more "bells and whistles" because of the advertising and the price. In my opinion, Fisher Price took the cheap way out, this could have been a really cool toy. Hopefully her interest will be piqued as she gets older.Customer Review: LOVED BY ALL

My son and his girlfriend bought this for our 7 month old grandson for Christmas and the extra cars and animals. plus he recieved a few more cars and animals from other friends and family memebers. This is an awesome gift. Our Nephew and his girlfriend and 3 year old daughter were visiting and she loved the train. she had no problems operating it and keeping it attached. Our grandson loved watching her operate it up and down the livingroom floor. (hardwood) the song does change with each different animal put into the "drivers" seat. the main song is very catchy and you will soon find yourself humming it. we have no complaints about this toy and find it well worth the price in entertainment and learning for the kids. I would recommend it to anyone. We haven't found any safety hazards with the toy at all and it has been well used in the last few days since Christmas.
