Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo-ChooCustomer Review: Be Very Careful!! Summary: 3 Stars
I have twin 13 month old girls. Their grandma bought this for them for Christmas and they enjoy playing with it. However, with a natural reaction of putting everything in their mouths, no matter how much I say no, the elephant has been taken away. My one girl put the trunk of the elephant in her mouth sideways, and the way it is designed, it got stuck and locked behind her teeth. It was almost impossible to get out where we she was almost taken to the emergency room. It was finally able to get out, but lot of tears and crying went along with it 'cause it hurt being stuck and pulled on her teeth. And this toy is designed for 6 months and up!!!! How can a toy be made to where a piece can get stuck in a mouth so easily when that is what babies do most-explore with putting things in there mouths. This is not a toy that is designed for this age. There have been no other problems with the toy itself, but just the elephant's trunk. Be Careful and I would recommend to take the elephant away without hesitation! Fisher Price was notified and they are sending a shipping label to return the elephant and also sending a certificate to get a different animal.
Customer Review: great toy for a great price Summary: 4 Stars
i bought this toy for my daughter for xmas. i had actually purchased it at kmart first, only to find that amazon had it for cheaper. the animals that come with it are very durable. many of the parts on the elephant and giraffe click loudly, which babies seem to love. the music and sounds are very good quality. when you push the smoke stack, it lights up and plays a song and you can choose to have the train move or not. there is another button that you can push to hear various animal sounds. the front car plays a couple different songs if the bottom is pushed (like when you put one of the animals on it). i was a little disappointed that there is only one song that plays if you want the train to move. it's been stuck in my head since xmas morning.
my daughter just turned 6 months old...i'd say that the toy is a step above her capability to enjoy it. she enjoys watching it roll by, but she can't do much with it herself until she can sit up...so i'm not sure why the reccomend it for 6 months and up. over all, i think this it a great toy though...i imagine it will stand up to however many kids we decide to have :)
Customer Review: FYI / Wonderful Interactive Toy Summary: 5 Stars
This toy has many different learning options. It is very interactive.
1. Moves great on carpeted surfaces! (unlike most moterized toys)
2. Fun educational songs about different animals play when animal is placed in driver's seat.
3. You can buy many add ons for this toy with different zoo animals.
4. FYI...Note to consumer: You need to pull out the clear tag from the bottom of the train in order for it to work correctly (otherwise it will operate in demo mode).
5. The biggest complaint that I might have about this toy is the train car add ons and how they attach to each other. The additional train cars have hook and string add ons that tend to fall of easily during play. An older child might not have such a problem with this.
6. The animals make clicking sounds when the joints are moved. The bottom of each animals foot/hoof have textures and shapes.
7. Some of the animals even make the appropriate sound for that animal...like the monkey.
8. Has stationary mode and moving mode.
Overall, very neat toy. My 9 month old really enjoys it.
Customer Review: Great time killer Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for my 7 1/2 month old son as a splurge, hoping to find a toy he would actually be interested in for more than 5 minutes. Great interactive toy. He is more interested in the train for the moment than the animals. He can spend over 1/2 an hour playing with the wheels, the moving leaves, and bananas that are attached to the train before wanting to move on. There is also a little red bird attached to the train with a spring that bounces back and forth as he bats it. Very few toys keep his attention for this long (which I guess is normal for his age). The only things that he will play with for longer periods of time are small cardboard boxes and small plastic tupperware lids, all of which I can find around my house for free! Still, I consider it a good purchase, because it will grow with him, and he can play with it differently as he develops.
One note though... one ear on the elephant broke after a day. It is still attached to the elephant, but it no longer makes the clicking noises it is suppose to as it rotates.
Customer Review: A Toy Enjoyed By the Entire Family!!!! ***Ages 1-83!! Summary: 5 Stars
There cannot be enough said about this product. I purchased 2 of these for Christmas presents--one for my 1 yr. old son and the other for my 1 yr. old niece. I received it on the 18th of Dec. (his birthday) and my husband and I(ages 31 and 33)loved it so much I give it to him that day!! I also have 4 daughters ranging in ages 4 to 10 and they all love it as well. The durability of this item is unbelievable! Believe me if it is not torn up the first few days by my 5 tornadoes, it is built to last!! My girls have a tendancy to be extremely hard on toys. I love the fact that it moves so well on any flooring--hardwood, carpet, etc. The price is also unbelievable (19.99) It was part of the Monday Markdown specials!! My little boy loves chasing it. He crawls right along with it. I thought it would be more of a "boy toy" but was I ever wrong! It is fitting for both! Even my 83 year old grandparents got a kick out of it. Don't hesitate to buy this great toy!! It is one of those rare, priceless finds!!!
