Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo-ChooCustomer Review: FUN TOY!! Summary: 5 Stars
As of this writing, this toy along with its counter parts is not part of the lead recall. That being said, we love this toy. It holds my eleventh month attention. To turn it on is very simple because all you do is push the green button. The animals are a great teaching tool because he learns as he plays. Some of the animals make noises so while he is away from the train; he has the animals to play with while we are on the road. We have bought two of the other sets that connect with the train and we have not seen any problems with the train pulling all at once. We have had the toys for about four months and they have not failed to perform.
Customer Review: It's new again! Summary: 5 Stars
We have a 17 month old and I can count on one hand the number of reviews we've written (mostly because most of our toys are older hand me downs) but I had to write about this train. My daughter got it for Christmas last year at 6 months old and love playing with it from sitting to crawling to walking. We put it away a few months ago to make room for birthday gifts and just pulled it back out. I think she missed it because she's been going to it non-stop for a week and still loves it. Even her older cousins and neighbors love playing with it. It's durable, safe, and lots of fun and I now buy it for all of my friends with younger children.
Customer Review: lots of fun Summary: 5 Stars
Our boy loves this toy, although the locomotive is what he generally spends the most time with, it is a lot of fun. The sounds keep his attention, and you can select from the "jingles" or hit the "bell" and get animal sounds. You can cycle the "jingles" by hitting the smoke stack, I believe there is about 4-5 different jingles. It is kind of expensive, but it is a great toy. And you can buy expansion units if you can manage to find them.
P.S. The giraffe is what our boy enjoys the most if he isn't playing with the locomotive, although there are 6-7 pieces this, you get two really fun toys you baby will really enjoy.
Customer Review: Get this train early, so your child can grow with it Summary: 4 Stars
We got this train as a gift from my former boss, when my daughter was about 3 months. Overall it was a good gift. She played with various parts of it over time - gnawed on a little plastic apple, investigated animals, pushed the button and listened to music. One thing that she never warmed up to is actual moving of this train. She doesn't have other battery operated moving toys, and it scares her when the train starts moving all of a sudden. Mostly she prefers to play with a car of this train and carry her toys in it. I was thinking of donating it, but I looked at all the pictures of her with it and decided to keep it for now.
Customer Review: Cute toy, has a few drawbacks... Summary: 4 Stars
While this toy may move well on carpet, it does not move so well on hard floors. It often slips when it chugs across our floor. Also, if we attach more than one additional train car, it weighs it down and sometimes the train stops moving completely. This has done this since its purchase, so do not suspect it is a battery issue. Other than that, this is a really cute toy. And I like that you can buy the additional animals. My 10-month old likes it until you get him on the floor with it, then it scares him! I don't think he likes that it moves on it's own, but I'm sure this will pass and that he will eventually like it...
