The Amazing Animals train has never been put away in the toybox. We have owned it for 7 months now and has been played with every single day! My son loves to take the animals out and play with the train by itself. He pushes and pulls it around and pushes the smokestack over and over again to see the light and to hear the cute animal song play. We usually only keep it in still mode because he seems to prefer playing with it as a stationary toy. But the motion mode is a great way to get him crawling about. This is the best money I have ever spent for a toy. He has gotten so much enjoyment out of it. I would recommend it for children ages 9 months to 3 years. My nephew even comes over and plays with it at age 2 1/2 years. Highly recommended toy.Customer Review: Cute, fun and durable but super annoying

We bought this toy for our 6 month old son with Amazon's "Frustration Free Packaging" which rocks, so much less hassle and trash. Our son (and us) adores the giraffe and elephant with their clicking, clacking and turning body parts as well as the rattling monkey. The train itself is really durable and cute and he has fun with the animal sounds too. Unfortunately this toy is super annoying in one regard and has a major draw back. You can not make the train go forward or make the animal sounds without the music portion being on which is the most annoying woman singing over and over. So it's sort of all or nothing. I believe music is so educational but it does not have to be so nerve grating. So we'll probably keep the animals and donate the train itself.Customer Review: REALLY CUTE TOY

It doesn't move really well on carpet, but it does move, it really is a cute toy and seems very safe for baby. All the little animals have lots of things that move and make sounds and all the edges are rounded (easy, safe chewing). It's well made and should last a long time.
UPDATE: Jonny is now 10 months old. He tries to climb in the train, drags it around, tosses it around, BANGS on the whistle on top over and over, to make it play. It's one of the toys he will play the longest with when he plays alone. I can't believe this toy has held up to the punishment and it still works perfectly. It's on all the time and get used hours every day and I've only changed the batteries once in the 4 months we've had it. I do highly recommend this toy.

We got this for our son's 1st birthday (he's now 20 mos). He didn't really like it at first because we would put it on the "drive" setting and let it go across the floor. Now that he is a little older and can walk around he turns it on and chases it all over the house calling out "choo choo choo choo". He also loves to push the buttons that make the animal noises. The animals make great toys by themselves too, and are great to throw into the diaper bag to keep him busy on a long car trip. From all the abuse it's received at his hands, I'm surprised the thing still works perfectly! It appears to be incredibly durable, which I like, and we haven't had to replace batteries yet after almost a year, which is also nice.Customer Review: Could be much better....

This train seems very cool by advertising and even in the package. Unfortunately, it is a pretty lackluster toy.
We received it for my daughter's first birthday, and by day 2 it stopped rolling when the "animal train" song played. The platform, which is supposed to play songs about each of the different animals (and doesn't actually recognize which animal is there), works only occasionally (usually not).
All-in-all pretty disappointing, especially considering the hefty price tag.
The only reason I gave it three stars is it is cute. And my daughter likes turning the animals legs and hearing them click.
We really like Fisher Price products, but this was not a hit.
