Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo-ChooCustomer Review: Great, Durable, Consider even for an Older Child Summary: 5 Stars
This is part of a new line, so I did not have much advance feedback on the product. However, my daughter got it for a first birthday and she loves it. The animals are durable and fun to position (they sit, stand, etc. without tipping over). The train moves well when the smokestack is pushed, but this feature can be turned off and my daughter likes pushing the cars around. We even bought an extra animal (sold separately) she loved it so much.
I think its great even for an older child and a toddler neighbor loves it. It is a good toy for pretend play with the animals and the train cars are sturdy enough to hold other things (blocks, etc.)
Overall, a great toy at a time when it is hard to find toys that are safe, yet encourage active and creative play (that 12-24 months range).
Customer Review: Wonderful toy - don't buy from here, cheaper direct from source Summary: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful toy. Both of my nephews had this toy and are not ready to give it up yet, so my daughter (10 mos) received this for Christmas. She absolutely loves it and it runs great on all of our floor types (we have mainly hardwood, but also throw rugs and vinyl tile). HOWEVER, for some reason all of amazon's fisher price toys are OUTRAGEOUS right now. This can be bought directly from fisher price for $30 (or any other toy store...). Same thing with the Little People. Most of the toys direct from Fisher Price are anywhere from 50-75% CHEAPER than they are from amazon. I have to say this is a real disappointment as I've never seen that on this site before. So go to a toy store or buy direct from FP because this is a wonderful toy but not worth the money amazon wants for it...
Customer Review: Really cute toy Summary: 5 Stars
My 2 year old still loves this toy. She has played with it since she was 9 months old. It is a very cute toy and seems very durable. The animals are really cute as well and their legs click as they move them. A very young baby would enjoy just holding the animals and moving their legs. It is very easy to operate and comes with settings that control whether it moves forward or stays in one place. It is very easy for a young child to start as they just push down on the the smoke stack (I guess that is what it is called). It has a cute All Aboard song it plays as it moves forward. It has other songs too for when it is in the non moving mode. It seems a little on the pricey side for what it is, but I think it has been worth it since she continues to play and enjoy it.
Customer Review: Mine didn't work right! Summary: 2 Stars
I was so excited to give this to my 10 month old for Christmas. He loved it! However...it didn't work right. It's supposed to move in one mode and be stationary in the other. Ours moved no matter what position the swith was in. When we put the volume on the lower setting it couldn't be heard at all, you could only see the smokestack light up, but no sound. AND when placing animals in the engine in the front...NOTHING happened. We even tried pushing the panel down ourselves...didn't do anything. The box said it sang 5 songs...ours only sang one. Yes, I made sure the tag you have to remove to make it play in normal mode was completely removed, and I even put in brand new batteries. I returned it and got a new one. And guess what...this one does the same thing!
Customer Review: One of the most loved toys in our home! Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know who loves this toy more, my 8 month old son (the intended recipient) or my 3 year old daughter!!!
My son received this as a Christmas gift when he was 6 months old. He immediately took to it, as well as his big sister. It's actually caused a bit of a problem in our house because they both want to play with it all the time!
My daughter has attached other cars and her wooden train set to it to create a "SUPER TRAIN, MOM!" and loves to fill the train with other little toys. My son loved to watch the wheels turn in stationary mode and bat at the little bouncy bird on a spring. Now that he's crawling he chases it all around the house.
One of the few toys that hasn't gotten on the adult's nerves, too! ;-)
