Toys and Games Reviews of Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo-ChooCustomer Review: Not engaging Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased this toy for my six month old based upon the great reviews it received. My son who is now 9 months still has no desire to play with this toy. At first, he liked taking the animals off the train and putting them in his mouth but to be honest I have found that this toy has to be put away until he is more around 18 months. Then maybe he will like moving the train around the room but I doubt it. My son is more of an auditory and tactile person than visual. It was not worth the expense. The best toy out there are the rings that hard plastic rings that can link together and that are easy to carry with him and the soft toys he can put in his mouth. He plays more with my dogs Ty Dolls (beanie babies) because they have more texture varities to them than even the soft teethers for baby do. I hope this helps.
Customer Review: For your baby, tooddler, and older....great toy! Summary: 5 Stars
Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo I got this for my 13 month old granddaughter and it is amazing how much fun all of the little ones have with it. It is a great toy and just entrances them and gives them great joy. Children of all ages love it.
As said by another reviewer, the music is loud. I don't find the songs offensive, just another song for the kids to learn and love. The idea of turning the music down by taping off the speaker is a good idea though if you can't stand the volume.
Buy this toy and let you pre-schoolers enjoy another great Fisher-Price item that is well made and great fun. Fisher-Price is well known for their quality and age appropriate toys.
Customer Review: Not that great.. Summary: 2 Stars
In store, it looked neat & I was happy when my inlaws bought it for our son last Christmas when he was a newborn, but I figured by 6 months he'd be ready to enjoy it. I was wrong, as he's now a year old & still doesn't really care for it. The songs are catchy, it runs on carpet, but that's about it. The animals that come with it aren't really much of anything & have very little movememnt with them, my son actually isn't a fan of the clicking noise they make. He's enjoyed putting others things in the train, but that's about it. Doesn't seem to care about the music or the movement, even when we've showed him. Overall, it's one of those dreadful in the way toys that always end up under your feet. After Christmas, I look foward to finally being able to pack the train away just to have it out of the way.
Customer Review: Fun for everyone. Summary: 5 Stars
I got this toy for my son when he was learning to crawl to motivate him to go after that. It did that and now 10 months later he still has a blast with this toy. He is 16 months old and doesn't play so much with the animals but with the main train part. He loves to push it everywhere, even though it can go on its own. He also loves listening and dancing to the music it makes. This toy is very durable and great entertainment for children while teaching children through song about different animals.
The only complaint, as others have mentioned, is that the back part of the train does not stay attached. This part of the train ends up buried in the toy box more often than it is found attached to the train. However, a great toy no matter how your child choses to play with it.
Customer Review: My son loves this train Summary: 4 Stars
My son LOVES this train and has had a blast with it ever since we got it. My only complaints are these: as stated by a previous reviewer, the songs ARE a little wierd, and a few are just really dumb (in particular the one in which the singer chants about how a giraffe is "very very very very very very tall." What genius wrote these lyrics?). My only other complaint about the music is that while the train has a repetoire of about 5 or 6 songs, it mostly just plays the same song over and over again. I'm not sure why. Finally, the train cannot go, on its own, from the floor to the carpet. I wouldn't even bother mentioning it except that it does seem to frustrate my son. WHich brings me to my last point - this toy is pretty durable, and seems to withstand being thrown across the room pretty well.
