This is Mainly a coloring book type toy. I found it really doesn't teach you anything about being a designer or how to actually draw fashion..shading, texture,... My daugther wanted to learn more about drawing her own clothes, not so much about coloring clothes.
So if you child wants a toy to pretend with, than this is probably a good option but if they really want to learn something about desinging, not so good. I found a better option out there to learn about becoming a designer and the what you need to know.
My daughter(11yr)is Very! interested in fashion design, so she loved this dvd set I found, How to Fashion Design with Bob Martin. I found it while googling fashion design teaching, if you are looking for something more than just coloring fashion, with better education. It has design, drawing, and sewing included. Also there are kits available as well, for those interested in a kit.
