I bought this for a birthday gift for an 11 year old. I was hoping it would teach her how to apply makeup correctly, however, the makeup is not intended for use on the skin. The kit is to experiment with different shades of color on paper for eyes, cheeks, & lips. It comes with a face-shape guide, a hairstyle guide and pre-printed faces that you apply color to and draw on hairstyles with the included colored pencils. It's kind of like a coloring book, but with real looking makeup. I think she'll like it and will enjoy experimenting with it.Customer Review: Five stars for the make-up artist

I saw this and knew I had to get it for my 8yr old that loves the play make-up. It is cool. It comes with a pad of paper that has different faces on there. The child can use real make-up brushes with eye shadow and lipstick paints to make-up each doll. My daughter has already done four and has had fun with. Not too messy either. Everything comes in an organized set. The only down side will be to find more paper with faces on it or save some to make small copies until the make-up runs out.Customer Review: More than make-up

Our daughter saw this at a book fair and fell in love. This make-up kit is not just make-up in a neat, folding box. It also has suggestions on how to apply make-up based on the shape of your face and a sketch pad with differently shaped faces ready for their make-over (small colored pencils included). There are even stencils for drawing differently shaped lips and eyebrows. I wish I had this when I was trying to learn how to put on make-up. My daughter who just turned 7 got this for Christmas and likes to play with it. I'm not gonna say she absolutely loves it but she does like it very much, she probably plays with it about once a day. The toys' composition is a bit flimsy since the paper tears out easily and the compartment that holds the make-up became unglued but other than that it's a pretty fun toy.Customer Review: What a wonderful toy!
