Customer Review: Great Toy and they don't even realize it's educational

This is the second one of these ant farms that we have owned. This time we bought the one with the lighted base for after the ants die. I would recommend this for age 5+. As a grandfather, I had great fun watching these little builders do what they do best with my grandson. The action begins almost right away and goes on for 2-3 months.
Be aware that the ants can only be shipped during certain months depending on climate. The order form is in the box so it is a complete gift but there is about $5 more for the ants.
All in all, these farms are great.

Antworks is based upon a 2003 NASA Space Shuttle experiment to study animal life in space and to test how ants successfully tunnel in microgravity. The antworks gel is complete with nutrients and suppliments to promote healthy growth in the new colony. Watch ants live, work and tunnel in the nutritious, non-toxic gel as they create tunnels.
