Ordered this for my son who just turned 6. The farm was easy to set up and worked as described. Ordered ants from AntsAlive. Ants arrived in about a week. All 25 are alive and doing well. They started tunneling the first day and haven't stopped. My son is so excited about his Antworks he took it to school today to show the rest of his class.Customer Review: The best ant farm yet

This is an excellent ant farm and makes an interesting decoration. If they made one much larger, I would gladly pay extra for it. One in green would be nice; I'd buy a second.
Note: The manual suggests not collecting fire ants. If you're from Florida, walk the extra 100 yards and find some real ants. I'm paying for my laziness.

I live several 100 miles from my niece and only get to see her a couple of times a year. I bought this for her 6th birthday. She was thrilled at opening the box and how pretty the gel was when lighted. Then I got an excited call when the ants arrived and were released. I got daily updates as the tunnels were dug. Overall, a great present.Customer Review: should come with label "lesson in misery"

This was a sad experience for my 11 year old. The ants are shipped from the West, New Mexico I think, and were in bad shape when the arrived. We has some live for a few days. They were too sick to do anything though. I thought this was a really cool product and would be best for someone living in the west or midwest, near the ant source.Customer Review: Expected more

I bought this Ant Farm for my Husband... he had been asking for one as long as I can remember... and I thought it was going to MUCH bigger. Its SO SMALL! and then after we get it I find out that I could have bought bottles of the gel and made my own farm.
All in all he loved it and now sits on our bar and gets lots of comments.
