My [...] old daughter just loves this toy. She is able to use it completely by herself, except for a little help moving the balm from the mixing cup to the balm holder. It comes with 3 flavors/scents, all yummy, and actually seems to work as balm pretty well. My daughter used the entire kit over a 3 day period making gifts for her friends and cousins. It even comes with adorable bags to wrap the "gifts" up. The only warning I have is that it can be messy. The lip balm is gooey and really hard to wash off surfaces and hands (not because it stains, just because it's water-proof and gooey, so washing with anything other than really hot water just smears it around). Think vaseline... I recommend spreading newspaper or wax paper -- anything you can throw out -- under the project before you start, and be prepared for some gooey hands when you're done (imagine smearing chap stick or vaseline all over your hands and trying to wash it off -- not easy).
