We bought this for our eleven year old son. He's always sketching clothes designs (mens and womens) and has been asking to learn to sew for a while now. We thought this would give him a chance to test his skills. Not only did he love it, he used all of the fabric within days, making everything from mini-skirts to wedding dresses. This was definitely a great purchase, and we'd recommend it for any child who seems to be really into fashion and design. I got this for Christmas last year and I'm 10 almost 11 and it was the most amazing gift I got I love to be able to show my artistic flair without it being to hard and even my 4 year old sister likes to help me ( she picks out fabrics and things) I keep entertained for hours. You can use the fabric provided and you can buy your own fabric. This is my favorite toy and it shows you how to draw a model in the instructions I also love dressing up the mini manniquin with fashions I already made and are working on. AMAZING Review: This is very realistic!!!Summary: 5 Stars We wanted to give our little girl (10yrs) an idea of what is actually involved in designing fashion. This is perfect. It comes with a realistic fitting bust and fabric. It also comes with a sketch book, pins, and glue. She loves it and has fun trying to design trendy fashions. Definitely would say it it for older children due to the pinning involved. I also think we will have to get her a beginner sewing machine.But it is tons of fun. We paid $30 for it, so try searching don't overpay. It is cute.

Easy to produce something like "glamorous fashion" in just a few minutes. Although it seems to be Barbie sized, the torso is much bigger than a Barbie's and anything finished on the dummy needs quite a bit of adjusting to fit the skinnier doll. But it works really well for designs that simply stay on the dummy or the hanger. Both my 7 and 9-yr-old girls really like it. The fashion design/sketching tips included were also very popular.

I bought this as a surprise gift for my best friend's daughter who is in 6th grade. Both Mother and daughter loved it and our little designer is going to town on creating new looks. Before taking it home to wrap, I showed it around the office and there were several people who wanted to keep it in mind for future gift giving. It's a great value and the little dressmaker form that comes with it is just perfect to "drape" designs onto.
