I am 39 yrs old, but have wanted Sea Monkeys ever since I was a child. I finally now have my own "Ocean of Light", bought for my last birthday by my 17yr old daughter. She thinks I'm bonkers but I love to watch them. They were born on the 29/5/01 and are thriving. Its like having an aquarium, they are so funny and relaxing to watch. Please, if you have kids, buy them some Sea Monkeys. They will never nag for a puppy or kitten again.Customer Review: A Great Toy for ANY AGE!

I am 17 and purchased this toy on a whim. I remember when I was 5 reading about them in magazines but I was not allowed to get them. I have had my Sea Monkeys for two weeks now and love them. The manual is a bit old but there is an insert about how they are updating it. It comes with all the necessary parts (except for 2 AAA batteries) and includes an order form so that you can buy any "specialty" parts from the manufacter.Customer Review: Sea-monkeys for ages 6 - 60!

I remember having Sea-Monkeys when I was young, and I remember they didn't live very long. I've found the newer kits last much longer (I kept one colony alive for 2 years until my cat knocked the aquarium over). I now keep my new colony in my cubicle at work. I highly recommend the Oceans of Light set because the light makes it much easier to see the littler "monkeys" as they hatch.Great fun for kids and adults alike!

I got the sea monkey kit for my 4 year old son in December of 2000 and it is now Oct. 2001 and they are still going strong. My children love to watch them and whenever other kids come over they are fascinated by the sea monkeys and they to love to watch them. I barely ever feed them, just when I remember, so its true what they say, don't overfeed them. I think that everyone should get them, they are great pets without the hassle.
