Customer Review: Great project rocket!!

This is a great model to build but I wouldn't recommend it for a younger person without some experienced adult help.Easy to follow instructions,I finished mine in 5 days at about 2-3 hrs a day.The person that left the 1 star rating saying that some parts are foam must be sniffing glue.Everything in my model was top notch materials as all Estes rockets are that I have purchased.Basic tools are required,carpenters glue,rubber cement,modelers knife,masking tape,400-600 grit sandpaper.I launch mine with C6-5 motors and it does great ,reaching about 500-550 feet.So if you want a little challenge and have a great looking rocket sitting on you launch pad this is a great choice!!Painted mine blue just to be different and have submit photos for the product page.

This scale model includes authentic looking Blackbird Skin, nose cone, jet inlets, exhaust ducts and decals to make it look like the real deal. The detailed instructions allow you to construct a flight-ready, realistic SR-71 jet that reaches 600 feet into the sky! Specifications Length 19 in. Max. Altitude 600 ft. Parachute Recovery Die cut Balsa Fins Estes model rockets range from "ready-to-fly" in just minutes, to kits that provide many enjoyable hours of building fun. Estes kits are classified into five categories. READY TO FLY (RTF) No paint, glue or modeling skills required. Rocket comes assembled and is ready for liftoff in just minutes. E2X No paint or special tools needed. E2X kits contain parts that are colored and easy to assemble. Simply glue the parts together as per the instructions, apply the self-adhesive decals, attach the recovery system and you are ready to blast off! Assembly takes 1 hour or less. SKILL LEVEL 1 Requires some painting, gluing and sanding. Features laser-cut balsa fins, slotted body tubes, plastic nose cones and self-adhesive decals.
