I was a little hesitant when reading the other reviews on this item, but I have a friend that bought one for her son and he just loves it. I took the risk and bought one for my son as well. I am glad I did! It is true that there are only detail instructions for building 3 different things...but my son and I found it fun to try and figure out how to build the other things as well. Then, as with any young boy, the whole thing gets torn apart and they start building whatever their mind can dream up. I am really impressed with this product and I feel it was the next logical step for my son after Legos, that I just feel are age graded too young for a 10 year old. I am going to get some more of these sets...he loves them and it gives him something to do when the weather is not too hot outside.
