Customer Review: I am not that impressed with this little bug.
Summary: 2 Stars
Before you read the review let me state that I am an adult who just happens to collect robots and anything similar to robots so a child might find this toy more fun than I. Also I got this toy fully assembled so I can not comment on the building process.
This toy have some good points, it is definitely a nice way to show kids how solar power works. if you stick the toy in the sun, or under a very strong lamp (seriously this little thing needs insane amounts of light to work. Unless you have a could free day then your bug will not move) then the bug will shake around and look like it is moving, this is fun for about five seconds, granted again I am an adult but I can not imagine this would have held my attention much as a child either. Other than that the toy looks rather cool, it is very inexpensive and it might give a kid who is in the middle of the bug loving phase some joy.
The problem with this toy is that A it just need to much light to work, you have to wait for the exact right conditions for it to do anything, also the bug's legs is rather pointy and sharp and a kid could poke him or herself on it unless they are careful. And there is not much more to say about this toy, it looks like a cool robot bug, it moves under strong light, it is not much fun but it has some educational value.
