If your getting a birthday presant for someone get this.The only problem is that you have to wait one day fore the water purifyer to kick in. We have had the same set of sea monkeys for over a year, and they are still thriving! The only problem is the tank gets so dirty and you can not clean it because the water needs to be a certain saline concentration. However, the monkeys love living in the grime! Feeding monkeys and maintaining the water level is my 7 year olds resposnsiblity, it is a great first pet!Customer Review: Still waiting for the Sea Monkeys.....

I got this for my kids, and we have been waiting and waiting and still don't see anything. We followed all the instructions to the letter, but nothing has happened. All we see is little particles floating around and it's been 11 days. Shouldn't we be seeing something? I mean I know they are supposed to be small, but I don't think this worked for us.Customer Review: Excellent

Excellent, Outstanding, my daughter saw one of her friends had one and she's been begging me to get her one since. Her mother wouldn't let her keep a pet, so I got her these. They provide you wih 6 sea-monkey eggs and you can name them and get insurance for them for just a dollar, and if they die from old age you can get a replacement free.Customer Review: sea monkeys on mars

Although the sea monkey on mars tank is very small it gives the sea monkeys a different kind of atmosphere. I think this tank is the best because it comes with the aqua-leash( which you can use for aerating, vacuming and transporting) it also comes with plasma, sea monkey eggs, food and water purifier.
