Customer Review: What's not to like?

Sea Monkeys are easy to start and take care of. We did have to wait a day for the water treatment to take effect, but after that, our Sea Monkeys hatched quickly and have grown to a size where they are easy to watch.They do have a certain grace; they are always swimming with a ciliate, wavelike motion across their bodies. It's best not to feed them too often, so it's not like you have to get a fish-sitter or put them in the pound if you go on vacation for a week.
The "Mars" tank is adequate and comes with the basic food and the "plasma" which allows a little feeding experimentation. The tank does not contain the aerator - so far, we seem to have gotten by by swishing the water in the tank around to aerate it. Perhaps a deluxe set may have some more of the extras and perhaps the manufacturer is a little stingy with the extras, considering the manufacturing cost.
The Sea Monkeys are one of those rare educational toys that have a lot of play value, are inexpensive, and have a somewhat open-ended path of exploration. There are no guides to what to look for or what experiments to perform and that draws on the imagination and on the particular facets of the child's personality and talents.

I had first heard of sea-monkeys when i was young but never even bothered cuz i was afraid to ask my mommy and daddy for money at my young age of 4-6 bt now that im have allowences and saw these at long drugs, it changed my life... i never bothered thinking about sea-monkeys because they barely sell em' boy was i wrong... i had brought ity home and had no idea how to do it and ended up making a life less bowl... i had to restart mumbling, and grumbling, i searched for a place... and found toys'r'us and was filled with joy!!!! qickley filled it with up with water and added purfier and waited and the next day i added eggs and found nothing :( but i waited and cept faith with god and i was trhe happiness kid on the block!!!! my sea-monkeys on mars were fuilled with about 14 little critters and in 2 days about 60!!!! i was sooo h appy i bought 2 oceon zoos and 1 sea-monkeys and the magicle castle!!!! THANKS!!! Toys'R'Us you kept sellin sea-monkeys even though there not being bought:( you changed my life!!! All I Can Say Is "WoW"

This tank is very reasonable. if you were to buy the ocean zoo aquarium (not that its bad or anything.) you would only recive 6 pieces; The instuctions, tank, water perification, eggs, growth food, and a feeding spoon. Not only do you get all of the above (the tank is different of corse.) you also get the plasma which i think is almost a most have. (this ensure good health, and also makes sea monkeys larger)You also get the Aqua lesh, a device used for; cleaning, areating (This is a must if you do not buy the "million bubles air pump or aqua lesh, although there are other methods, your sea-monkeys probly will die without this. Honestly, don't waste your money on the "million bubble" air pump this does the same thing IF used properly.)Also the Aqua lesh transports sea monkeys, this can be useful for evacuating a tank if the sever "black spots" dieses strikes or if you want to put them in the other acsesories (maze, life boat, play pen, aqua watch etc.) overall this is a very ecinomical tank.Customer Review: I LOVE Sea Monkeys

I ordered the Sea Monkeys on Mars kit for my office, and I absolutely love it. I have had my tank up for about a month, and I have several adults swimming around. I really like the look of this tank. It's fun to watch them swim around the arches and the spaceship.
I have a million bubble air pump, and I use it on the days when I am at work. If you only have the aqua leash, you can attach a small air stone (from the aquarium store) to the end of it to make little bubbles. Put it in the water, push the air out, pull the aqua leash out of the water, get more air, put it back in the water, etc...
I feed them about once a week.
The instructions that come with the kit are not the best. Go to www.sea-monkeys.com for better instructions. There is also a forum at www.seamonkeymania.com that is very helpful if you have questions.

I think that sea monkeys are great pets. I really enjoy watching them toodle around in their care-free manor it is very relaxing. The tank is fun to watch them in it has a neat looking back ground. READ THE INSTRUCIONS THOROUGHLY SEVERAL TIMES IT COULD CAUSE A HEALTH CRISIS IF YOU DO NOT be sure to only feed once a week. DO NOT over feed it caused the resent death of all of my sea monkeys. You need to arorate the tank dayly, Aqua leash is adiquit put it in the water push DO NOT suck inward it will be inafective that way. Repeat several times.
