I purchased this for our three kids. They were so excited that they had them and shared the responsiblity to take care of them and watch them grow. Only problem is the youngest over feed them and they died but they all still want to try again.

A Sea-Monkey's dream Grades 1 and up. Sea-Monkeys always swim toward bunches of photons, so think how happy they are in the Ocean of Light "Zooquarium" with a specially molded flip light top. Two AAA batteries (not included) power a bright light which acts like an oceanic searchlight. Packet #1 Water Purifier, packet #2 Instant Live Eggs, Sea-Monkey Growth Food, and packet #4 Plasma III, are all included along with a feeding spoon and an illustrated guide.You are about to begin a new amazing hobby that is so fantastic it staggers the imagination! The instruction book for the Sea Monkeys Ocean Zoo is an entertaining read, packed with enthusiastic revelations about those ubiquitous brine shrimp from your comic-book-reading days. They're fascinating creatures, able to live up to a year or more, reproduce ("dozens of adorable babies!"), even "perform tricks" in their 5.75-inch magnifier-studded "Micro Vue" aquarium. The kit comes with shrimp eggs, food, plasma, a water purifier, and a handbook. Just add pure water. A great set of pets for a smallish domicile, they'd also make a scintillating science project.
