I have this and 2 LeapFrog game things in a bag we take for car rides. I am just glad my 7 year old son plays with this at all, which he does. The only strange thing is they seem to be Purple now, not Yellow (which was kind of a surprise when I first got it), and the batteries go pretty fast, we use rechargeables anyway but it's another thing to keep up with. and it was a little bit overpriced in my opinion, but the pros outweighed the cons if you have a reluctant kid with math.Customer Review: worthless

Good concept but when the kid gets it wrong, the right answer should come up. Otherwise how are they ever going to learn what the answer should be. Basically all it does is tell you if your answer is wrong or right. Worthless. I used it for myself a few times and that was the first thing that came to mind. Oh well you live and learn. Good to have these reviews so others don't spend their hard earned money that depletes wallet and take up valuable space in small house.Customer Review: worthless

I was very excited when I heard about this product. I thought it would be a great toy for car rides and of course would help reinforce basic math concepts. I purchased one and the top row of buttons did not work. Amazon immediately sent a new one and it had the SAME problem. I am sure it is a great product, but keep your receipt and try it out! For two to have the exact same problem there must be an entire batch that was made incorrectly.Customer Review: Too dark

The Math Shark is an incredible tool! My son's skills and grades improved nearly immediately. I never have to fight with my little "gamer" to study his math facts anymore. The only problem we have found with it is the screen... it's very dark and difficult to see. You have to get the lighting around you just so or you can't see what's showing on the screen. Overall, it's great, but that's a real pain in the butt!
