Don't let the illustration on the box full you! These things are ugly, and they are quite hardy. I purchased sea monkeys to show my boyfriend what wonderfully weird toys us american children grew up with, and he now he is afraid of them. We are both afraid of them, actually. But we continue to feed them (mostly out of fear). They are fascinating to watch- kind of like some primordial creatures. And they will not die. It has been over a month and they are still alive.Customer Review: Magic Castle Fun!

I have a couple Sea Monkey colonies, & one of them is in this Magic Castle & it is great! I wish they had made it when I was a kid. It's much more colorful, & it is like having a living snow globe! I'm a 38 year old "kid" who will probably never grow up, & enjoy this & my Sea Monkeys alot. They're very relaxing to watch. I constantly have new babies being born, & it is interesting to see them grow from a pin point dot into a full grown Sea Monkey! I :0)Customer Review: hard to see

I had bought a Sea Monkey set at our local Walmart, and it came with a very cheesy plastic container (not even a hard plastic). Nothing like the old containers I remembered as a kid, and I could see spill disaster written all over it. I ordered this set thinking we could see the Sea Monkeys better, but when they were small, we couldn't see them at all! Not to mention, the hole is very tiny in the top, makes it a little difficult for the oxygenation.Customer Review: Best version so far of the Sea Monkey Habitat!

I was in love with Sea Monkeys as a child and I'm still entranced by their intriguing ways. I'm thrilled to have discovered the Magic Castle! It's beautiful and the perfect gift for a child. It's the best version of the Sea Monkey habitat ever! I bought one for my daughter and three more as gifts. The instructions are very clear, too, and have easy-to-understand diagrams for children explaining when to feed, add eggs, etc. I highly recommend it!Customer Review: Very Impressive

Compared to other tanks with a higher price tag, the Magic Castle is a good choice for the beginner/enthusiest. The detail in the tank is intricate, and the kit includes multiple intruction manuals for the tank. This kit also includes Plasma III, which helps Sea Monkeys live a longer and happier life. The tank, being a cylinder, is harder to knock over than others, but a good "accidental" shove will send it to the floor. Overall, a good kit.
