The Sea Monkey(r) Magic Castle by Exploratoy is a wonderful illustration to younger audiences of the harsh, disastrous, and benign existence of all life.To watch your sea-monkeys(r) hatch right before your eyes is an amazing sight, but only for a fleeting moment as we come to realize the shadow of death hang's over them, as it does for all people, plants, solar system, etc.
To feed your sea-monkeys and watch them hatch young is a great oppourtunity to teach your child about the grim spectacle of trying to continue ones genetic material, but that doesn't matter anyways because we are all going to die.
Small, compact system with good quality plastic containers, and includes all you need to realise ones own mortality. 6 and up.

I totally love this product. It is soo cool and i would highly recomend it. This product grows so fast. The seamonkeys are soo cute. When i come home from school they make me soo happy. I just don't know what the 4th packet is for so i don't use it. I had them for 2 weeks now and i love them. They are such darlin's. I bet that if you bye this you will love this. This is also great because if for some sad reason you poor babies die than you get a two year live warentee and you get tham for free. Isn't that great. I mean really what if one of your pets die no more pet but with these the fun is just begining. you will have fun from the time you open the water purifier. I hope this was of help. thanks. I bought my 5 year old daughter the "Sea-Monkys Magic Castle" for a reward. She has had so much fun watching them hatch and grow from tiny specs into full grown shrimp. She loves the fact that there is a castle in the tank. I like this product because it is small and compact, about the size of a snow globe. We followed the directions exactly, except we used tap water instead of bottled water. They still hatched!!!!! They are still growing and seem to be thriving. We aerate the tank everyday to give them some oxygen. My daughter liked her Sea-Monkeys so much we decided to buy some for her nana to have on her desk at work. I purchased the sea monkeys for my boyfriend as a surprise because I remembered when my older sister & brother had sea monkeys when we were kids, and felt nostalgic. He is not american and has never heard of sea monkeys, so I wanted to show him what they looked like. When they first hatched, they were tiny, cute little specs. Now they are these ugly, prehistoric-looking creatures that continually gross out both me and my boyfriend. They are fascinating, though, and have lived longer than any goldfish I ever bought from a pet store. As a matter of fact, both he & I wish that they would die of natural causes since we cannot bring ourselves to starve or kill them.Customer Review: Cubicle Fun

I remembered Sea Monkeys from the comic book ads I read as a child so ... I thought "what the heck", might just be a cool thing to have in my cubicle. And it truly is - great fun - low maintenance - and everyone keeps stopping by to see how the Sea Monkey babies are doing. A great "toy" to have in your office! Many of my co-workers are interested in having their own Sea Monkeys for their cubes and children. The Magic Castle is just the right size for a desk and it is colorful and pleasing to the eye. I highly recommend this if you are looking for something "cool" for your desk or your children.
