Customer Review: Good toy trumpet

Its size is quite realistic (i.e. big) and has a really nice hard-plastic build. The silver paint doesn't seem to come off as easily as in other products, which is definitely a plus. I am somewhat dissapointed however by the fact that it has 4 buttons (instead of the traditional 3) and requires blowing quite a bit harder (than a real trumpet would) in order to produce any sound. Comparisons aside (afterall, we bought this as a toy for a 5 year-old), my kid loves it and we find it far superior to any other toy trumpet he's ever had (this being his third).Customer Review: Way better quality than the bontempi instruments, worth the extra $10!

We owned the Bontempi saxaphone for awhile til it just about fell apart, thin cheap plastic (my son certainly didn't mind though...) When I received this Little Little Toy Company trumpet I was pleasently surprised and pleased at how much thicker the plastic was and the buttons and things were really sturdy and fastened well. When I buy toys these days I don't mind paying a little more if it means it will possibly last for the next kid, well worth the extra money for this brand. My 3 year old is very IN to music, and really wanted a trumpet for Christmas, just like his Dad's. This one is cool because it does look like a real trumpet. It plays by blowing air though, not by buzzing. And it took my son a little while to get the blowing technique down for some reason. And you have to be pressing one of the keys while you blow for any sound to come out. So he can't just make a bunch of constant noise like I expected him to be able to do. But he seems to really like it so I can't complain.Customer Review: Best of the lot...

Sure this one's a bit more than the other toy trumpets. But we had this one, it broke (after a year of daily use by our 1.5 year old boy). We replaced it with the cheaper one which broke in just a few weeks.
I just surprized my son with this one for his 3rd birthday. He was so excited to have his trumpet back.
If you looking for a toy trumpet that feels like real and has a nice sound - you will not beat this one!
Customer Review: Little Boy Blue come blow your horn

We originally bought this for a costume. (Little boy blue) My son was excited to get this horn. This horn makes music, but only came with directions to play one song. (the buttons are color coded)
If your child likes to make his/her own music--go for it!
I would have liked to see a booklet of some common nursery rhyme tunes, so some songs could be learned.
Simply just a noise maker for us.
