Toys and Games Reviews of Early Learning Centre TrumpetCustomer Review: Very Neat Trumpet Summary: 4 Stars
This Trumpet is really cute. We purchased it for our 2 year old son for Christmas this year so he hasn't played with it yet... But I have :o) Hey gotta test the product right. Our son loves The Little Einsteins. He always screams trumpet when Quincy plays his. This trumpet is made of a really thick plastic. So I do believe it will hold up to my 2 yr old and 10 month old sons fighting over it. (I'll get our 10 month old one for his 1st B-Day in January) I am a flute/piccolo player but dabble on other instruments and I completely agree with one of the other reviewers comments about the trumpet sounding more like a harmonica. The trumpet only makes a sound when air is blown through it and buttons/valves are pushed at the same time so it somewhat encourages fingering. Our son has really taken an interest in music (our piano/my guitar/my flute)I figured it was time to get him an instrument of his own. For the price and the anticipated look of joy on my 2 yrs old son's face on Christmas Day I can't be more statisfied. The shipping time was very quick also. From my test and the overall construction of the toy, I would recommend to others. Now it's time for me to test out the Little Star Bounce House and Ball Pit :o)
Customer Review: Not worth the price Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this for my daughter's third birthday.
She LOVES a cheap trumpet that we purchased over a year ago at the local drug store for a couple bucks. That trumpet lasted a little over a year until she stepped on it (for the millionth time) and broke it. Although I glued it back together I thought I'd buy her a new "more advanced" trumpet for her birthday.
She likes this trumpet but would just as well play with the old one. This one is easier for her to blow but her hands are too small for her to hold it comfortably and press the buttons. Therefore she can't continuously change notes. Overall it is too big for an average sized 3 year old.
I hope as she gets older she plays with and enjoys this trumpet more than she does presently. I reget purchasing it for the price paid. It is literally 6 times more than the drug store trumpet that she enjoys more than this one.
As for the durability, we've only had it for two months so haven't really "tested" the durability. It appears average quality. Hopefully it doesn't break prior to my daughter really enjoying it!
I would recommend for ages 4 (maybe 3 1/2) and up.
Customer Review: If u r lucky play music otherwise place it in showcase Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this toy for my 5 years old son as he wished to have one after watching cartoon, he was very happy once we received the packet.
He felt hard to blow to get sound coming out, I tried to help him to teach, but I too became literally tired as the buttons doesn't function well to pass air to give music. One of the button is not working & almost it is a dead one.
He hardly played with that for 30 minutes, then it went to toy dump in our home.
Appearance is quite good, plastic seems to be good, but not sure about the life of steel finish/coating as we used lesser than 30 minutes.
I guess it is a luck to get one which is working properly, but it disappoints children exception which I don't like with this type of product.
If you get good one,it is your luck otherwise it is a good showcase toy.
This toy has good educational value so I need to give 5 star.
I called Amazon and explained the problem, their service was quite good and they refunded me.
Customer Review: Is great so far Summary: 4 Stars
We got this a couple of months ago, after one of the keys broke off my 4 year olds last toy trumpet (another brand). I bought this one instead because even though it is a bit more expensive than his old one, the reviews sounded good. One thing I like about this one is that the whole mouthpiece is plastic. On his old one, sometimes he would put his lips around the mouthpiece when he would play, and some of the paint scraped off from his teeth, probably into his mouth. Not good.
This one is still plastic, and relatively inexpensive, but I think it is the way to go until he is ready for a real trumpet.
Customer Review: Great Fun Summary: 5 Stars
My 22 month old received this as a gift for Christmas this year off of my Wish List. I am more pleased with it than I even had imagined! It is life-size to a bugle, though I had expected it to be smaller from the picture. And in fact, it's valves play the same open notes as a bugle, so you can have fun playing "Taps," "Reveille," etc. However, he'll do much better with it when he's a little older, because it takes a good amount of air to play it. Right now Mom & Dad supply the air and he pushes the valves. He's learning just what to do with it though. Great fun for the budding musician!
