Customer Review: A very good and classic toy

This is pretty much the same as my review for the Duncan Imperial, but it still applies.
Last summer I went on a mission trip with my church and we decided we wanted to take something fun for the children down in Mexico. My school has recently gone through a yo-yo fad so I suggested we get some Duncan yo-yos. They thought it was a great idea so we bought a combination of Duncan Butterfly and Imperial yoyos, totaling around 60 yo-yos. When we finally got down to Mexico we passed them out to a few of the children. At first they seemed uninterested, as they could not really get the hang of it, but after about a day or so everywhere you looked some kid had a Duncan yo-yo. Even though we didn't speak the same language, the whole rest of the week kids were running up to us saying "Yo-yo? Yo-yo?" It turned out that the adults used to have yo-yo competitions themselves, so they showed some of the older children their tricks. The kids loved them.
The only issue was the price. For a few weeks we searched the web for the best prices and the beat we could find was about $3.12 per yo-yo. We eventually decided to just go to the surrounding Wall-Marts we found more than plenty for about $3.00 apiece. The Duncan Butterfly is a very sturdy and classic yo-yo. It is great for people of all ages who are just starting at yo-yoing. The main disadvantage of this yo-yo is that it's inability to spin very well at all, which makes it great for beginners but horrible at string tricks. Once you have mastered it I would suggest upgrading to a Duncan Mosquito to try out some string tricks and moving up from there. I prefer the Duncan Imperial yo-yo over the Butterfly for its shape as it is easier to control and is less difficult to keep upright.
Conclusion: A very durable yo-yo for beginners, though I would suggest getting something like the Mosquito if you have some previous experience and plan on getting skilled at yo-yoing and I would suggest getting it from your local Wal-Mart or Meijer over purchasing it over the internet.
