I just purchased this product under the impression it came with the "Psychic Paper Wallet" and payed 29.99 for this. The same product is advertised on this same site for 19.99 without the Wallet. Why would I pay 10$ more for the same thing? VERY misleading images and reviews on this product, unless you just want the screwdriver and want to pay more money. All that being said it is a very fun item to have and the seller has contacted me in regards to the confusion. Check the dates on these reviews, the Psychic Paper wallet version is discontinued and does not exist on this site.Customer Review: Why is this so expensive?

I can find no difference in the pictures and descriptions in this version of the Sonic Screwdriver and my own. I find the same one advertised in the $20-30 range all over the place, even here. Remember, Google is your friend. For $325 you can get a machined metal version vastly superior to this toy if you really must spend a lot for a little.

This is by far, probably one of the most awesome toys I've ever gotten. The regular pen works, well, regularly, but the uv pen? totally awesome. I had to get my little sister one as well, and now we pass each other secret invisible notes that light up under the blue light of the screwdriver. Doctor Who, bringing the family together. It's slightly more durable than the packaging claims, but still plastic, so don't go bashing cybermen with it.
All in all, a wonderful little gizmo.

If you are a Dr. Who fan you'll really get a kick out of this....
Two position , fully articulated pen and a cool incandescent light that actually shows the glow-in-the-dark ink that is also provided with the pad.
It even has a replaceable cap for more secret writing. It is fun and extremely accurate in size and design to the original used on the series.
Great as a keepsake or a real functional prop all Dr. WHo fans should have this one! 3-26-09

The sonic screwdriver arrived at my door today. I found it pretty easy to put together, but they included instructions behind the plastic of the box. I haven't taken it outside, but I did play with it indoors, and yes, it does sound like the real thing. The light also works, and it's pretty bright too, so it's actually a flashlight/pen/ultraviolet pen. The psychic paper is an inspired addition, and this function also works, as does the regular ball-point.
