My 8 year old daughter loves her fairies, and knows to be "gentle". The stems that allow the fairies to stand are very poorly constructed and one broke off the stem. My daughter was devestated and blamed herself. After discussion and demonstration she finally realized that it was not her fault she was only playing and the fairy fell off the coffee table onto the thickly padded carpet. Purchased for 4yr old and she adores them we have to take the fairies everywhere.The stands are not attached to fairies very well because she was able to remove them all while I was in the next room, however does not seem to be a safety issue and they re-attach somewhat when she wants them to stand up.Usually though they are in hand flying and making up stories. Tink, Rosetta, Queen Clarion, Silvermist, Iridessa, and Fawn - these are the characters you get with this set of figurines. They are great for creative play and make-believe, but not much else - you can't dress them, or move their arms or legs but little ones who love Tinker Bell and the characters from Pixie Hollow will like these figurines either as a collector's set or to play with.Customer Review: Tinkerbell Toys

The faries came quickly and all in one piece. I used these as decorations on a cake rather than an their "toy-usage". I personally dont feel like they would be that great of a "toy" just because the bodies are small and skinny, easy to pull apart and the glitter rubs off on everything. These figurines are beautiful and perfect for little imaginations. My two girls (3 and 5) have played for hours with them - in their princess castle as well as outside. I have purchased three sets of these fairies - one for each of my girls and one as a present for a friend. They have not disappointed us even after several months of playing.
