Customer Review: total waste of money !!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this for my daughter who is 17 months old. I was extremely excited since her daycare provider told me that the kitchen area was her favorite. I payed [money] for it. We put it together while she was sleeping and eagerly awaited morning to see her play with it. Huge disapointment. Within 5 minutes she was bored with it and moved on to a... ball. This thing is so tiny. The inside of the fridge is filled with "drawers" that don't pull out taking up space. The shelf in it was just big enough to fit a small box of animal crackers. The same with the oven and microwave. Even in a sitting position she had to bend to play with it. The range top was only big enough to fit the pot and pan it came with and there was no overhead room to drop play food in them. The shape sorter isn't at all educational because there are only 3 shapes and they all fit into the circle hole so there was no challenge. Bad investment...

Customer Review: (Almost) Perfect for a little one
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter received this when she was 11 months old. She is 14 months now and continues to really enjoy this toy. Her favorite thing to do is to "bake" other toys in the oven or microwave. The downside is that it is very light weight (which could also be a good thing). She is able to intentionally knock it over and stand on it. As children should always be supervised, this is not the worst thing in the world. In addition, though, the sorting part of it doesn't make much educational sense being that the pieces seem to be able to fit into more than the individualized slots for which they were each designed. The kitchen is just sized for small children so it will not grow with your child but then again it is perfect for them when they are small. Overall, my daughter loves this toy and has not suffered any injuries as can happen with so many other toys. I would recommend it.

Customer Review: My daughter cooks up a storm with this kitchen
Summary: 4 Stars

My 11mo daughter received this for Christmas. When I took it out of the box I thought it was a bit small but my daughter loves it. She spends quite long periods of time putting the shapes in the holes and pressing the button to make them come out into the bowl. She opens and closes the fridge, microwave and oven taking things in and out. It keeps her little hands busy. As she is not yet standing it is the perfect toy for her. Yes, it does tip over but just put it against a wall or couch or table. The phone does pop off at the slightest touch but it's easy for baby to get at. The sink is a little small, but then who wants to spend all day washing dishes!! LOL!
My only complaint is that the sounds (a timer bell, sizzling and boiling) are too quiet - I wish it was louder to really get the full effect of cooking.

Customer Review: Good starter kitchen
Summary: 4 Stars

My 12 month old daughter received this as a Christmas gift last month and seems to enjoy it. She loves the shape sorter, but her favorite thing (besides the phone) is to put things in and take things out of the microwave. Over and over again. She plays with it a little every day. I agree that it tips over easily, but I put it against a wall and haven't had problems since. Overall, I would say it's a good starter kitchen and would recommend purchasing it. I would like to add, though, my friend has the Little Tikes work bench for her little boy, and my daughter loves it. It seems to do more interesting things. I think I would have chose it over the kitchen if I would have seen her play with it first. Although, she hasn't really started to pretend eat and cook yet, so it may be a good toy to grow with...

Customer Review: Loads of Imaginative Play for Right Age
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my twin nieces who are now 14 months old. They played with it a little, more often tipping it on its back and using it for a seat, but my 19 month-old daughter loved it and spent the whole time with her cousins playing with their toy. She was especially intrigued by the different sounds and which pan made which sound.
Finding things to put in the oven, the microwave, and the refrigerator was also lots of fun, and provided learning opportunities: Heather's shoes fit in the oven, but Daddy's shoes didn't. We are definitely going to have to purchase one for her. I think the 9-month age range mentioned by the manufacturer is probably a little young, and 18-months might be a better starting age, but it is something I'm sure my nieces will grow into.
