Toys and Games Reviews of Discover Sounds KitchenCustomer Review: Great Toy with Lots of Activities Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my 18 month old twins, and they loved it. They're now almost 3 years old, and they still love it. I considered buying a much more elaborate kitchen, figuring that with two children playing at the same time, bigger would be better. I was wrong. This kitchen gives them much enjoyment right now, and I have fun playing with them, too!I've found that adding things to the kitchen has kept my kids' interest in this toy. Adding toy food and drink in the fridge, a toy stock pot to put in the oven, and it's like a new toy all over. I was planning on getting them a bigger kitchen for their 3rd birthday, but as of yet, it doesn't seem they'd want a bigger one.
Customer Review: Not what I expected Summary: 2 Stars
My aunt bought this for my daughter last Christmas. She was a year old at the time and did not play with it at all. I figured she would play with it as she got a little older but she is almost 2 now and it is in brand new condition still. She does like putting the shapes in the shape sorter and hitting the button to make them spill out, but besides that she doesn't play with it. I agree if it were a little taller than maybe she would be intersted a little more. She is very small but still has to bend down to use it. Also it tips over very easily!! I am going to spend a little more this Christmas and get the full sized one. Hopefully she will play with that one!! :)
Customer Review: kitchen by little tikes Summary: 3 Stars
This kitchen is definitely a great toy for a sitting baby...but watch out when they start to stand! While sitting, my 8 month old stays pretty busy opening and closing the doors, taking out the pot and pan.... even our dog learned how to press the refrigerator button to get the ice cubes out! Since she is starting to stand we had to bungee cord the whole thing to the couch to make sure that she can't topple it over. Now that it is secure she has lots of fun standing up and banging on the top of the fridge. Also, she is getting her hand stuck trying to take the ice cubes out of the ice cube/shape sorter holes...so we have to really watch her on this toy!
Customer Review: Should have bought this sooner Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my daughter on the spur of the moment (she's 14 months old now) and she just loves it. I propped the kitchen against the wall as soon as I took it out of the box so I've had no probs with it tipping over. It also doesn't tip over when she yanks or pulls open the little compartments. It's just enough toys to keep her interested without her getting confused on what to play with first. I highly recommend this to anybody. Even my three older sons enjoy sitting down and playing with her at her new kitchen. The size is perfect so she doesn't constantly have to stand (she's still wobbly) all the time just to reach anything. Great product.
Customer Review: Great for one year olds Summary: 4 Stars
I got this kitchen for my daughter on her first birthday. She loves it! She constantly puts the frying pan on to hear it sizzle. My two year old daughter plays with it to, but for her it limits her imagination, you only have room for one pot and the sink is rather small. The stacking pots, which they had, fit with two of them the bigger ones do not fit. As far as one year olds go this is a great begginer kitchen. Next year I plan to get a bigger one. The sounds are entertaining and the shape sorter is a hit, but its not very sturdy one pull and the kitchen tobbles over. I would recommend this as a first kitchen with thoughts of buying a bigger one later.
