Customer Review: This thing is terrible
Summary: 5 Stars

My 9 month old son got this toy for Christmas and from day one we have had nothing but problems. IT tip over with even the slightes touch. I thought maybe he was a little too young so I let a 3 year old play with it and still the same problem.
The shape sorter would be nice if they didn't all fit in one hole. The sound on the frying pan goes off if you walk past it too hard. I can not even get the phone on the hook so I don't expect my son or any other child to do it. I heard there was suposed to be a hook for the utensils but mine must not have I couldn't find it anyway. The utensils and the door that he can open and close (when I hold the toy so it won't flip over)are his favorite parts.
I called the company and asked if they had a fix for the tipping over and the "nice" customer service guy told me that no one has ever called and complained about it. I find that odd after reading the reviews that not one person has ever called about it. He didn't offer to fix it he just offered to replace it after I took a picture of it and sent it to them. Does he not know what his toy looks like? What is the picture for? Maybe he wasn't all with it since I told him it was a Christmas gift about 5 times before he realized it was a Christmas gift. He didn't understand that I like the concept of the toy and I would let my son play with it if he would just tell me how to keep it from flipping over. I can get past the sorter problem. Just stop it from flipping over. So much for customer service. I told him I would just ask my relative for the receipt and take it back to the store myself and get a competitor's product.

Customer Review: Nice But Wish It Was A Little Bigger
Summary: 5 Stars

This a nice, very durable toy. My two and a half year old daughter has had this toy for about two years now. Currently it is in storage since I put it there so I can bring it out later so it will seem like a new toy to her again and that way it is not so boring and she does not tire of it quickly; that was the purpose of putting it away for a year or so. The ice cubes go into the holes on the refrigerator as a shape sorting toy as well and it comes with cute accessories such as pots that make noises and utensils. This toy is a little small and compact which can be nice but I wish it was about twice the size. I am going to go later tonite and pull it out of storage for both of my girls...hopefully I can find all of the pieces that were put away fairly quickly.....they have a ton of toys in storage as well at home too...I hate to go and dig through them to find the pieces...if I cannot find all the pieces I might purchase another to go along with the neat kitchen toybox that I purchased on here today for my soon to be one year old daughters first b-day. Check it out if you would like ...it is made by step 2 and the pieces appear large enough for a one year old and this toybox also has a stove with sounds and a microwave and also utensils and pots and pans with it. Its neat. Anyways overall I am satisfied with this toy. I just hope I can find all the parts so that way I do not have to spend another 30 dollars on one that I already have but missing pieces.

Customer Review: Kitchens are for boys too
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful little kitchen. My son's developmental therapist suggested pretend play to help him so I went and looked at things like kitchens. We looked at all the models. Many where very large and for older children. Also alot of them are pink and well pink just isn't the best color for a boy. Then I found this. It is perfect. The colors are good for all children. It isn't large at all so if you only have a small bit of space this is prefect. This little thing has all the features of a large kitchen. You get a sink, stove, microwave, and refridgerator. The stove sizzles or boils when bans are on it. The fridge has an ice maker shape sorter.

Bad Points:
Too lite it tips over easly. This needs to be placed against a wall for it to be used. Hard to get the oven door open. The ice maker button is alittle hard to press. It is a bit hard to get the pans on just right to make the noise

Good Points:
The shape sorter is great because they don't have to get the shape right for it to work the circle fits in the suare etc. But hey thi is great for those first learning. . It works with the other little tiks dishes.

I highly recommend this as a first kitchen for kids. It has soo many features for the price.

P.S. We have never had any problems with fingers getting pinched.

Customer Review: Crazy Kitchen
Summary: 3 Stars

This toy must have been thought up by someone with a small toddler trying to keep up with a four year old with a standard size kitchen because it is a great idea. However, I don't think small toddlers tested this.
- It easily tips over (my child thinks it's great to sit on the back.
- The shaped "ice cubes" (which is a fantastic idea) fit into any shape hole. So the square ice cube fits in the round cube hole. (no actually shape sorting going on).
- There is only one small shelf in the fridge, which would be fine with me if the bottom were not rounded so things don't stay on it.
- Has three "fun" noises and only two of mine have ever worked.
- Cute phone but impossible for a toddler to put back. Ditto with the spoon hook.

Some things are good about this. The opening doors of the stove and cabinet are really great. At first my child only used the cube dispenser and I thought it was nothing but a very big shape sorter. But now at 2 she has a shopping cart and plastic food and uses this kitchen a little bit more. However, now she is big enough for a standard size one.

I suggest you save your money and do all the research you can on a standard size kitchen and get the best one when the time comes. I got this as a gift and would not buy it.

Customer Review: cute little kitchen
Summary: 4 Stars

We loved that this toy kitchen is small - a great debut for our then 9 month old to get into the act of role play. Now 11 months old, our baby loves to open and close the doors and push the shapes into the shape sorter (in the fridge door). The shapes all fit in each of the holes so there is no real learning for an older child, but my baby loves to push the green button to release the shapes.

The sounds are cute - a timer that ticks and then dings when it is done; a bubbling sound when you put the green pot on the stove; a sizzling sound when you put the orange skillet on the stove. We put all sorts of little objects in the fridge for the baby to find - blocks, cups, the shapes from the sorter.

There were a few rough edges as can be expected with a moulded plastic toy, but a rub over with some sandpaper took care of that. It came assembled although the instructions showed how to put it together. There were several stickers to add to the fun - but there was one that we could not figure out (it showed where to put all the others). The large rectangular sticker goes on the outside of the fridge - oops, we put it inside. The baby does not care. :)

While our baby still does not have the concept of role play, I can see this toy lasting a long time. Great value for money!
