I bought this set for two 3 year old boys who are very active. Not only was it a big hit with the boys, it was a big hit with their Daddies! The ball is somewhat smaller than a soccer ball and has a flat teflon-coated bottom. It is amazing how easily it scoots across carpet and hard flooring! The net goal has inexpensive plastic parts that probably won't stand up to vigorous play. But the soccer ball itself is worth the price. For those looking for a fun active toy to play with inside on bad weather days, this is it! If you are concerned about the net holding up you could always buy some inexpensive orange cones JBC Orange Traffic Cone - 18 Inches to mark the goals.
