Customer Review: Excellent Replica But........

This is an excellent replica of the enterprise-e but I have two tiny problems with it. One the windows aren't painted and two the coloring isn't totally correct. I guess that's to be expected considering that you can't really tell exactly what the actual colors are from the shots of it in any of the movies.
Over all I like this toy it's alot better than the playmates version several years ago. That thing was grossly inacurate!!!!
I have a model kit of the enterprise-e that I haven't built yet.
Since I found this maybe I'll either sell it or build it anyway. If I do build that kit I'll use this toy as a referance and change some of the coloring to what I think it should be. Bottom line, if you're someone who's tired of building models this is the item for you. You might want to paint the windows to give it a more complete paint job though.

I had waited for an opportunity to get this and now that I have it, I have to admit to being disappointed. As other reviewers have pointed out, the color scheme is inaccurate; it's made of off-white plastic with other colors painted on. The other colors wouldn't be bad, except for the fact that the plastic itself makes it look too toy-like (yes, I'm aware of the irony). Furthermore, the phaser banks on the upper side of the warp pylons aren't painted. Also, unlike other Art Asylum Enterprises, almost nothing on this lights up. Just the Bussard scoops, the impulse engines and the deflector dish are equipped with lights. Finally, the fit on my ship is very loose; there are huge (relatively speaking) gaps in many of the seams. One could look in and see Geordi and Wesley having their "who's the biggest nerd" contest quite easily.Customer Review: NCC-1701-E:Art Asylum

I love this ship figure, there are only two problems (as there are with every production of anything, nothing is prefect)
1.Coloer theme is off.
2.There is a gap were the battery cover meets with the rest of the ship, not a problem for me since its not really much of one but other people might not think so.
Other then that all I have to say is that this is the best version of the Enterprise E (Other then the model) that I have seen (the play mates one was just BAD)
Oh before I forget, it does light up and has sounds, not all windows light up, just the ones around/on the brige area, wrap engines and deflector dish.
Buy it when you can, other wise it might not be there!

This was my second Diamond Select starship. My first one was the original series Enterprise. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of that starship, so I was really looking forward to getting my Enterprise E. Overall, my expectations have been met. I love the paint job on this ship, plus the sound effects are always a pleasure. My only gripe is that the paint on the warp nacelles, specifically the ramscoops, is a bit sloppy. The painted details on everything else is very nice, though. In addition, as opposed to my other Enterprise's broken display mount, the one that comes with my Enterprise E has held up perfectly--it's a much more simple and sturdier design.
Buy one!

Well as many other's before me have said before about this product well I must agree. The color scheme is definitely off and I wasn't so thrilled once I got it home. The detailing could have been done better because it looks like they don't put a lot of time or effort into their die cast models. It would be nice if the lights could stay on for a more elegant display as well as the warp necels. They didn't add lights to the blue on the necels which sucks. I'd also like to see more lighting in windows which too makes a pretty impressive overall impact. . I don't care much for the sounds. But other then that it's ok. I'd like to see them do a much better version of this.
