Toys and Games Reviews of Stomp Rocket Jr. Glow KitCustomer Review: Great fun, terrible quality Summary: 4 Stars
Look, for ten bucks this is great fun. I got this for my 4 year old and he can't get enough of it. I mean, c'mon. Launch a rocket into the air. What kid wouldn't go bananas for that.
The build quality is as bad as it gets. The "base" keeps falling apart and barely stands up straight because the plastic tube that connects to it always puts it off balance. That said, we put a bag of rice over part of the base, and that seems to work fine. Two of the fins have already fallen off the styro rockets, so make sure to order an extra bag of those.
Considering a movie costs more than this product, and even with the bad build quality, I cannot do anything but recommend this toy because of the extremely high fun factor.
Customer Review: Durable, incredibly fun toy Summary: 5 Stars
We have 5 kids and a LOT of toys. (Thanks Grandma and Grandma and Grandpa and......) So it's rare for us to find a new toy that's a MUST-HAVE. But this was it! Our 3 year old played with this toy NON-STOP at the beach last summer. 2 hours straight every time we would go. The rockets fly fast and swift and float gently down for the kids to try and chase and catch. Shooting them off in a wide open space is best, too many pine trees for us in our yard! But they quickly shake back down to the ground. The beach or park is best, but be prepared for every kid in the park to become magnetized and beg to try! Luckily their are four rockets, and they're just as much fun to try to catch as they are to shoot up in the sky!
Customer Review: SO much fun! great way to get energy out too Summary: 5 Stars
This toy is awesome! Just got it for my 3.5 year old and he's obsessed. Doesn't want to stop playing with it. It's cheap which is nice. I'm not sure it will last forever because it's just 3 pieces of plastic that snap together to form a stand and a plastic tube with a "stomp" box/bag thing at the end. However, since it's cheap I'm not expecting it to last too long. It's pretty simple in design though and it might surprise me. In the meantime however, it is a blast! really really fun. he laughs and laughs as he looks for the rocket. I like that it only goes 100 feet (which to him is VERY high) because the rocket stays in our front yard and i'm not worried about it ending up in the neighbors or the street. super gift!
Customer Review: Wonderfully easy toy Summary: 5 Stars
I got this for my 3 year old. We both love it. The "rockets" are extremely soft and could not hurt a fly even if they were to land on someone. It is all air powered and kids love jumping on the air pump which shoots the rocket into the air. My son (3) has no problem operating the toy.
1. Put rocket on vertical tube
2. Jump (or run and jump) on air pump
3. Watch rocket fly
4. Fetch rocket (done by child)
5. Wash, rinse, repeat (all happily done by child while mom\dad drink his rum punch)
Bonus: One minute initial first time setup. Parents need to click three plastic pieces together in order to create the vertical rocket stand as seen in the picture.
Customer Review: A+Awesome Toy!! Summary: 5 Stars
There isn't a kid (young or old) or adult who wouldn't get a kick out of playing with this. This toy is plain and simple classic fun. It's easy to send the rockets high flying. You can jump on the launching pad, step on it, or punch it with your fist. You can alter the directional height and thus send rockets flying straight up, or arcing high or low. You can set up targets or hula hoops and make all kinds of competions! Kids can learn all about cause and effect and variances; force/distance, direction, longitude and latitude. They'll also get plenty of good old physical activity by running around to pick up the rockets so that they can keep shooting them!
