Customer Review: Fun paint! Washes out pretty easily! Great variety of colors!

This is the second time I have purchased these paints. The first time I bought the six pack but I like the extra four colors (turquoise, white, brown and magenta) that come in this ten pack. The bottles are small (2 oz. each) but I find that the paints last a long time! Each time my boys paint I take a plate and squirt out about a 1/2 - 1 tbsp. of paint of each color and they go to town.
My boys are 2 and 4 and I don't worry with these paints. I let them paint on card stock (printer paper is okay too but I prefer thicker paper) on the kitchen table and if they spill it washes up easily (even if I don't wash it until later that day). Also I had a chance to test out the washable part with fabric this week! My four year old got it all over his long sleeves (of course they were white) and on his swim shirt (rash guard) and all of the paint came out. I was surprised that the red and purple came out of the white long sleeves just because I didn't notice it until a little bit later that day. Just remember to follow the directions: wash in HOT water with NO stain way or pre-spotter. I ran them both under the hot water and scrubbed them a little and all but a little bit came out. Then I threw them in the wash on HOT and wa-lah, clean clothes.
I love these paints and they are well worth the price. :) If you want bigger bottles try the Crayola 4ct Washable Fingerpaints Primary or Crayola 4ct Washable Fingerpaints Secondary. They look great too!

I would not allow children to wear any good clothing with these paints, however, it is a great pool companion. My daughter paints herself, her friends and the dog and then they all go for a swim. It has not been a problem and I would agree it would cause a problem with laundering the clothes. I wouldn't even want to put it in with the other laundry as it could ruin your entire load, however, people expect too much for 6 bucks. I'm sure it would cost much more to manufacture something that comes out of all clothing. We were able to get a good 10 uses out of the paint before, of course, purple ran out and then the rest of the colors. My friend had a pack with 10 colors, but I have not been able to find it. Anyone know where it is? Oh, I would buy the thinner brushes, this way the paints last longer.Customer Review: Great paint, but could use more of it.

This is a great variety pack of paint. The quality is good also. Vibrant colors and I haven't had any problems with washability as other reviewers have mentioned.
The openings on the paint cups aren't to large. Small watercolor brushes are fine, but you can't fit in fatter kids brushes very well. It provides more paint than most paint sets, but if you have several kids as I do, I would recommend buying Crayola Artista II Washable Tempera Paint in the much larger 16oz size for four dollars a bottle. With the large bottles you get much more paint for your money and have the liberty to make large paintings with out going through all your paint in one sitting like you would with this little paint set. However if you are a dainty painter, this variety pack will suit you fine.

I always remove clothes when my two-year old does crafts, so I can't testify as to how it comes out of clothes. I bought this at target for 1/3 of the price (non sale) SO it's the same price as the fingerpaints. This came right off of her booster seat, the table and her hands/arms/face/the cat with just a wet paper towel. Paint dries quickly and there are a lot of colors to choose from. We're learning our colors, so I lined them all up on the table and when she wanted a new color I had her tell me the color. It was a great way to work with color AND have fun! Although not recommended...
We used this as face paint for a football game and it washed right off with warm water 4 hours later.
It did not stain my son's blonde hair after it touched the wet paint on his, then, half-white and half-blue face.
I have read that the paint will stain clothes, carpeting, and upholstery if not immediately washed off.
