We bought this for my 6 yr old grandaughter. I put it together and tried first. I had same problem with the uneven chalk. It also uses a lot of chalk! And, only goes forward, so it's hard to write with it. I called Crayola and they said it's only supposed to go forward. Need more room to draw because of that.
