Saw these in Chicago at a play center in the new Millenium park....they had LARGE tubs of them....Lots...and lots and lots....and kids and grown ups were sprawled out all over the floor with the grand city scape looming over them as they created new sky scapers and bridges and fantastical ships...Everyone of them having a great time of it....took me an hour to convince Grandpa it was time to go...
So we got this set of 200. It fits neatly in a box about the size of the largest d-ring binder you might use. Yet, this little set expands beautifully into grand buildings and towers is completely satisfying. I think I'm going to get some more anyway. They're cheap compared to the other brand, but made just as well and then we might have enough to share with our kid....

We were first introduced to this item at a museum in uptown Charlotte. They were made by a company called Kapla, however, Kapla blocs cost twice (if not triple) the amount I paid for citiblocs. The entire family has enjoyed these blocs and it helps keeping the brain active and creative for all. I even had a group of middle school boys over and they chose to play with these for over 2 hours which beat the amount of time they played the PS3, IPod touch, and Nintendo DSi altogether. We purchased 4 200piece sets for a total of 800 so that everyone could participate at once to build and play. The only thing I would do now is purchase a set of color blocs as well. These blocs look and feel the same as the ones in the museum. I see no difference. Great product.Customer Review: lots of fun

I am a teacher and know that children love to play with blocks. I bought this set of blocks for my little grandchildren knowing they would use their imaginations in constructing all sorts of structures. Well, my grandchildren (along with myself) sat on the floor and spent hours building ships, trains, apartment buildings etc. There is an instructional booklet included with the blocks which illustrates how to build ships, trains, bridges and I found that very useful. This is a great set of blocks and I look forward to continued play with my grandchildren.Customer Review: Awesome, but might drive your young perfectionist crazy

These blocks are so much fun for a wide age range and I'm glad we bought them, but just a warning before you buy, that if you have a little perfectionist who is still working on fine motor skills, these blocks will drive them insane. I had to put them up after playing with them for just a day because my 5 year old perfectionist kept losing his temper as he tipped over his creations. I'll wait until he's more able to build successfully before bringing them out again.Customer Review: Great for creativity and fine motor skills

I bought this kit for my 3 year old and am very happy with the purchase. There are so many fun things to build with these blocs. I like the fact that there is no one particular way to use this set. Imagination and creativity at best. It has helped my son in building fine motor skills as he has to hold and place the blocks with precision and at angles. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that a couple of blocs in my package have chipped edges :(
