When I saw this come available right before Christmas I wanted to know why these were so popular?
So I bought one for my Niece and when we opened it and assembled everything I quickly realized why they were so popular. These things are a lot of fun and quite noisy. They reverse and go forward and move all around. The only thing that concerns me is battery life. Not sure how long the battery will last with this thing going all crazy.
Big ups to Amazon making this available right before Christmas.

My little 6 year old granddaughter had been wanting a zhu zhu pet for the past 6 months, I had been unable to find what she wanted. Got an e-mail from Amazon and they had what she wanted...she only opened the gift on Christmas Eve,,,she was, needless to say very surprised and very happy, she has told me and her grandfather several times, "she is so lucky to have the zhu zhu pets, and she bets lots of little children are sad because they did not get one" I was a hit for sure...thank you.Customer Review: Can't get it to work!

Go Go Pets Hamster Funhouse with Hamster
We saw this product in the store and it was really cute & fun. We bought it for our grandaughter, 7 yrs old. When we got home, we tried everything to get it to work like in the store. All it would do was chatter & make other noises, but wouldn't run around within the confines of its area. So needless to say, we aren't very happy with it & plan to take it back to the store the next time we make it to the big city where we got it.

My 6 year old son saw this toy and very much wanted it. Believing the ads about the toy we purchased it. When we got it and set it up we realized that the toy did nothing! The little hampster gets stuck in the tubes, it doesn't behave like a real one and all it does is go back and forth. For the excessive price of this toy we expected a lot more. It is completely over priced and really was an unbelievable waste of money. We are sending it back as quickly as we can.Customer Review: Great starter set!

It's no fun just having the hamsters and more expensive to buy each item separately. We bought this for a friend's birthday. It includes two rooms of the funhouse and a hamster to play with. A perfect starting point for your future Zhu Zhu city! My only compliant about Zhu Zhu pets is that we've had 2 hamsters that didn't work. They were bought elsewhere and replaced, but they didn't work after a day. That's the reason for the durability score.
