I keep reading reviews about these "Zhu-Zhu pet" sellers price gouging and ripping people off. Listen up people no one is making you purchase them for way above retail price. Just be patient and they will come in stock. I just picked mine up today off of Amazon at retail using a desktop alert system that can be installed via [...] This is not a scam this is a legit way to notify you of the availabilty of these creatures and their accessories online. Its free and not a scam! Be a hero and try it.
P.S. dont forget to turn off your screensaver and turn up the volume so you can hear the alarm!

A very cute idea falls apart right before your eyes if you purchase this starter set and perhaps add-ons for a "zhu-zhu" city. My daughter was so excited to get this, along with several zhu zhu's/ princess castle/slide/ramp/u-turn. It is rare that one of the "zhu's" can travel through this without ME having to re-snap everything BACK together. The whole set is cheap (quality) and the material is very flimsy. She is dissappointed and I am exasperated. I spent WAY too much money on this ensemble.The funhouse works alright on it's own -- beware when you add things though.Customer Review: Get this one, not the "starter set"

If you're looking for the "exclusive" hamster Patches to complete your collection, (and you don't want to shell out big bucks for the giant hamster city), make sure you get this set with Patches instead of the smaller "starter" set that also comes with Patches. This set includes the larger hamster fun house, while the starter set only has a figure-eight enclosure with half a roof. For the small price difference, this set is much nicer. And if you're giving this as a gift, this set looks nice, while the starter set has a cheap look to it.Customer Review: Disapointed

I bought the whole line for my daughter (5 1/2) for Christmas. All the plastic parts are flimsy and of the lowest quality. The tunnels, the garage door, and the openings come off easily. As for the pets, there is nothing interactive in them. They make silly sounds and move. That is all. It kept my daughter's interest for 10 minutes and then she did not play with them ever since. The only one that seemed interested in them was my 15 month son, who was chasing them. If you can avoid purchasing this toy, that would be my advise to you.Customer Review: Way Over Priced Cheaply Made Hamsters Break Frequently

This was a Santa gift for our four year old. It falls apart every few minutes. We have to keep reassembling it. The hamsters are a nightmare. We have had three Mr. Squiggles and after going through all the trouble shooting we are just getting tired of pulling out the connectors, etc. These products are poorly made and overpriced. The customer service is awful at the company as well. When you call they want you to mail the pet back and then wait 6-8 weeks for a new one - tell that to a four year old with a new toy from Santa!
