This was better quality than expected, especially for the money. Good solid feel, well designed, good materials. Runs off batteries or AC adaptor, but AC adaptor is not included (and being tethered to an AC adaptor would make it hard to fold up the legs and pass it around ;). Battery power is sufficient for an impressive display, although not as dazzling as a bigger, higher power plasma ball.
