Customer Review: Wonderful first microscope!

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter, who loves science. We have prepared a piece of moss from outside, and observed the cell walls. Also, we have looked at printing output to see the small color dots. She said "It is like looking into another world!".
PROS:
It is surprisingly sturdy with a metal frame.
The two LED lights work very well.
While there is no fine focus, it is not needed, since the main focus is very smooth and has precise travel.
CONS:
Would be nice to have a storage case, but we created our own.
Overall, this microscope impressed me - marketed for children, yet the quality seems like it was built for a professional lab. I wish more kids toys were made like this!

We gave this to my son for Christmas, and he had a ball. He was looking for anything to put under it. It works great. You can see everything so clear. It was definetly worth the money. It was purchased at Amazon.com, it arrived a couple days after I purchased it. It was a great gift. Customer Review: Want to ruin a Holiday, birthday etc.

My son is very interested in science. So get him a microscope right? The Christmas gift idea was ruined since the light projection switch stopped working on the first day. Now I have to contact the manufacturer, probably ship it back etc. You would think that the product would last more than 1 day.
I enjoy shopping shopping on Amazon and have done so for quite some time. The company should dump products that don't perform. Now I have to haggle with the manufacturer through the warranty process in the morning. What a great Christmas gift.

My grandsons had long awaited for this and have enjoyed learning about their world with it. It was well worth the money spent, is of good quality. Only wish it had come with a carrying case.Customer Review: Great quality, Great value!

This microscope is reasonably priced for the great quality of images that can be seen. Lightweight, but very durable with many functions. I highly recommend for the serious little scientist ready to examine life!
