Toys and Games Reviews of Busy Basics Busy Ball Choo-ChooCustomer Review: My son didn't really enjoy this toy until he was older... Summary: 4 Stars
We got this toy for my son around 10 months of age. All he really liked to do with it was take the balls out of it and throw them around and turn the train upside down to see how it moved. He really didn't play with it much and it sat on the shelf most of the time.
Suddenly around 14 months of age he became very interested in this toy and liked to make it run, put the balls in it, and chase it around. He likes to experiment with trying to get it to run over different surfaces; the carpet, wood flooring, tile, and rugs. I know it is rated for 9 months and up but my son personally had to be a bit older until he really loved this toy!
Customer Review: Good, but.... Summary: 3 Stars
Just be prepared to lose a ball or two. We lost a ball the first day, and I still can't find it. They are the perfect size that will roll under couches, tables, etc. I am a freak about keeping toy parts together so that part bugs me. However, my one year old daughter seems to like this toy. Not her favorite, but she does like putting the balls in it, and taking them out when they spin around. Keeps her entertained for around 10 minutes at a time. I think soon she will enjoy it more when she is more motivated to chase after it across the kitchen floor!
Customer Review: My son LOVES this! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought it for him for Christmas (at the time he was seven months old) at first he was a little scared of it and would crawl into our laps and watch it drive by. Then he started to try to catch the balls before they when into the choo-choo. Once he got older (right around nine months) and really good at crawling he pushes the button on his own and crawls away really fast to get out of the way and then he chases after it. It's good for teaching cause and effect and is very durable. He also enjoys pushing it around himself.
Customer Review: So much fun! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this toy for my 7 month old baby and he LOVES it, as do his 2 and 3 year old brothers. So do I for that matter. It's just cute! There are several options for playing with it and all are great fun. My baby doesn't crawl yet, but he loves to just sit and grab the balls as they spiral down into the train. The bigger boys like switching the options and following the train around while "catching" the balls as they pop out. It's just a super cute toy. My favorite toy of the Christmas season!
Customer Review: Doesn't roll well on carpet Summary: 3 Stars
We bought this over the past weekend for our 9 month old. He loves watching the balls roll around and then takes them out to play with them. He figured out right away how to push the button on top and make it go. The one problem is that it doesn't roll very well on the carpeting where he plays. It starts and then stops and then we have to push it a little to get it to start again. So, not so great. He doesn't crawl yet and we were hoping this would encourage him but it's not!
