Customer Review: Wonderful for nursing moms

I love this pillow. I got it as a shower gift and am forever indebted to the person who bought it. She is great in my book. It is wonderful for nursing. I can put it on my lap and set her up so I don't have to hold her to nurse. Of course, I do hold her because I can help myself, but when I need to reach for a drink or turn a page on a book I am reading it is great. Also, I put the toys on and lay her in it and she loves them. When she was still a newborn, I would lay her in the pillow and sit with her. The toys were right in her view and bright colored. She was content to stare at them. Now that she is three months old she loves to lay and grab at them and laugh. It keeps her quite entertained. I can also hang the toys over her crib. I don't know if this is good for every crib, but it works on my. It is great. We also sometimes just prop her in the pillow without the toys. She likes to sit up and look around. Since she can't support herself just yet this pillow is great. I really love it.Customer Review: Just buy the Boppy itself, and invest in a better gym

I loved the Boppy pillow -- it was invaluable for the first 12 weeks or so that I nursed. After that, I didn't need the pillow so much anymore and set it up with the playgym attached. My little girl would just cry every time I tried to lay her in it though. I finally switched the toys that came with this Boppy for some different ones, and she liked it better, but she's constantly sliding off the pillow and hitting her head on the floor. Also, the links that come with this gym are terrible! It's impossible to get toys on and off of them because they're not at all flexible like other links I've tried.Do yourself a favor and buy the plain Boppy pillow but a different playgym. We have the Carter's butterfly gym and my daughter loves it. I know that the various gyms by Tiny Love are good too.

My son, now 13 mos., still likes to play with this toy. As an infant, it was a great place for him just to rest inside and look at the toys. As he grew, it worked for some tummy time and and he has kept playing with it! He created a game, once he started crawling, to crawl into it and put his head down on the pillow. He enjoyed to toys so much, they became toys we pulled off to take with us out for dinner or walk time in the stroller. Now that he's walking, he loves to walk around it and pull the toys to watch them wiggle and shake back and forth. I am not sure how we are going to take it away for him and give it to the new baby due in May. We have been very pleased with the life span of this toy. (I was given two other boppy pillows so I never needed this one for nursing.)Customer Review: good investment

I received the Boppy Nursing Pillow as a gift, but found it just did not work for me. My son kept rolling toward one side or the other and the pillow kept scooting off my lap. The pockets are a nice feature though. I exchanged it for the Boppy 5 in 1 gym, which is actually useful, although I don't use it for nursing either since I've had the same problems with it. At 8 weeks old, my son stares at the 'zebra' patterned bars and bats at the 'dragon' and brightly coloured hoop. He also watches his Baby Einstein DVDs from it. The only flaws I find are 1) that it is too high and he tends to scoot down and get uncomfortable if he's active and 2) I'm having trouble finding other Sassy toys to use with it. This boppy is a much better value than the Nursing Boppy.Customer Review: Very nice toy, keeps the kid quiet for hours

Our child learned to sit up very early, and I think it's partly because we kept using the Boppy gym. It's a bit expensive, but I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, and I'd get it for anyone having a baby.Plus side: you can mount any toys you want to the scaffolding using the ubiquitous rings. I think I had as much fun innovating new methods of stringing up toys as my kid did playing with them. And you can get new rings for real cheap. The rings are the one toy I actually recommend getting for an infant. The seat is very supportive, but not perfect for the youngest infants. The whole thing breaks down fairly easily for washing.
Minus side: I find the psychedelic color scheme a bit much. Though the seat washes easy, you can't put the poles in the washer.
