Toys and Games Reviews of Crayola Glow Station can create with Light!Customer Review: FUN! Summary: 5 Stars
My six year old daughter just received this for her birthday the other day and hasn't stopped playing with it... this is so much fun... even I enjoy making pictures with her! It is not limited to what's in the box... you can use just about anything as a stencil or to make shadows; or draw your own silly designs. Very durable and love that there is storage for the wand. I do wish there was a pocket type storage area for the stencils as they are constantly getting knocked off the hangers (I put them in a zip-lock). An excellent toy from Crayola - especially for the price! I would recommend to others.
Customer Review: Grandkids Wildly Enthusiastic about Glow Station Summary: 5 Stars
Our four year old grandsons were wildly enthusiastic about the Glow Station. They could hardly wait to install the batteries inside the drawing wand and start creating. They went into a dark room, and after only a few minutes of experimentation, they started showing off their artwork to anyone who would look.
There's no erasing involved to draw again. The images fade on their own over a short period of time. Then the happy artist can start creating again.
It was very gratifying to see how excited they were to take their Glow Stations home and use them in their own rooms.
Customer Review: Lots of fun for kids and adults Summary: 5 Stars
I got this to keep at my house for my Goddaughter to use. She loves it (she is 2 and a half)! She will play with it for a half hour straight. It's also pretty fun for me! I play with it without her there, I admit it! the board doesn't lay perfectly flat, but i am hoping hanging it up will help with that. some people complain that it fades too fast to make a big picture but the key is to use a very dark room and the longer you leave the light on the subject, the brighter it glows! you can use a dry erase marker on a clear sheet to make fun effects too.
Customer Review: Fun for adults, too... Summary: 4 Stars
This is one of those toys that kids will play with for 10-15 minutes at a time, then move on. When you get this, you will get a sheet (not a board) of glow paper that you 'write' on with the glow pen. My biggest issue with this is it should be a board or attached to a board. Maybe that is a separate piece, I don't know.
I purchased two (for my four year old and five year old) and got this as a gold box deal, so for the money, I think this toy was a decent value, but having seen it, I would not spend the regular price for this toy.
Customer Review: Fun for all! Summary: 5 Stars
Got this for my youngest for Christmas. He doesn't like to write, color, or draw & his teacher suggested that we find creative ways to get him interested. He likes this glow station better than just typical writing and he is working on writing his name with it. It does need to be dark to use it, but we use it in the evenings before bed time so it's not too inconvenient. The biggest problem that we have is that he uses the light pen to blind his siblings - and yes, the light is incredibly bright! Otherwise, it's a fun toy that can be helpful too!
