My son liked this toy. The brush lit up over the paint color. The paint looked like white glue, and didn't last very long at all. It was very thick and would glob on the brush. The colors were very pastel, not bright. It would be very hard to actually paint a picture, but my three yr old just likes painting splotches of color and for that it was great. It was less messy than normal paint. Overall, it was fun, refills are a bit expensive, don't know that I will buy more once the originals run out.Customer Review: Purchased 3 , One was missing the color wells.

Hi, I purchased 3 of these items from Amazon, 2 were in perfect condition, 1 however was missing the color wells. Would like for Amazon to please replace the item or at least provide the color wells for the product. I took this toy as a gift when visiting 3 grandchildren, ages 3, 6 and 8. They loved it and looked forward to the times when we could work together with the paints. I was amazed at how patiently they waited for their turn, as only one at a time can actually use the brush. The colors were a little lighter than portrayed; the red was more pinkish. Well, hopefully, others will scroll down the page and see that this toy needs batteries. I did not and therefore my 5 year old granddaughter did not get the full enjoyment of this toy. She said she liked it, but I just wondered how much she did and how much was her mother's coaching.
Bottom line...read the whole page when buying stuff. I blame myself for not knowing about the batteries. I wish that info had been at the top of the page.

i love this set. i only gave it a 4 overall because i hate how expensive the refills are..but my boys loooove it. Yes you have to clean up the "paint" but its clear, so i dont care. it doesnt get all over everything and is super easy to clean. i never clean off the brush, and the paint just crumbles right off...its very clean. i bought 2..one for my 2 and one for my 3 year old. they love it. just wish the supplies were cheaper...
