I bought this based on great reviews. I believe this is a well designed product, but I'm not so impressed materials and workmanship. I didn't expect too much, but the fumes are outrageous. It's off gassing outside and I don't know if I want my child breathing those fumes. Also, I found the assembly frustrating. One of the screws was defective. Once unpacked, it wasn't worth sending back for that. While the wood is heavy, it not great quality.
Disappointing. I wouldn't buy it again despite the nice design. I was trying to avoid buying plastic and this environmentally as bad.

We ordered two of these for my daughters room and we absolutly love them! They are the perfect size. They hold lots of toys, more than you would think. We actually discovered while putting these together that we were missing one screw & nut to finish assembling them. I managed to find an email address for the manufacturer (Beck International) and sent them an email asking if I could have some extra hardware mailed to me. To my surprise (I thought I would never hear from them), I had the extra hardware in my hands less than twentyfour hours later. They had overnighted the hardware to me! We love it . . . and everyone asks where we got it. I did alot of searching for the best price, etc. I didn't want the plastic bins. The hanging baskets are cute and my daughter loves to load them w/ toys and flip them over creating a game! I took out one bin on the middle area and put her truck there. i use one on the bottom for books, the other for balls.
I put it together myself but did it backwards and had to take it all apart and do it again - even w/ that it took me under an hour. I watched Law & Order to make it better!

I don't consider this item a toy, I consider it more a piece of furniture for toys. That is why I scored it low on the fun factor and educational factor with the stars above. I got this to enlarge the visual perception of what my daughter was getting for Christmas. We needed something to sort and organize all the toys. It is much smaller than it looked in the picture, but the way the bins are set up I think they are very practical. The top bins are not on a shelf, they hook on with velcro. This was given as a Christmas gift and I was disappointed some. Especially after reading some of the reviews. It is alot smaller than I thought and not as durable as stated. The good thing is that it is closer to the floor and will not hurt anyone if it does happen to fall over. I rate it high for educational aspect because it does teach them to put their toys in the bins but the rest of the rating is low, especially if you happen not to purchase on sale as I did.
