This toy organizer is very cute and bright. It is different from many toy organizers that are similar but have the plastic toy bins in them. This is more compact that you might suspect by looking at the picture here on Amazon, but it fits really nicely into some smaller spaces as a result and it will hold quite a few smaller toys. I rated this as educational because kids can learn how to sort into various bins by size, function or or color, etc. I think the quality is very good for the price I paid for it. The set-up instructions were not as detailed as I would have liked, but it was pretty easy to figure out even for me (a mom who always delegates these types of duties to her husband and hates to take the time to figure out how to put things together.) It took me and my 12-year-old about 30 minutes to put this together (you will need two people to do this as someone needs to hold the pieces together while someone does the screwdriver work). Someone with more experience putting things together would likely take 15 minutes to do set this up. The top toy bins are very small. I wish they were larger and maybe just had two bins up there versus four. I also am not thrilled that the kids have to pull out the bottom toy bins to see and get to their toys because I like them to have easy access to both getting things out and putting things away. But, for small toys and with some thought about what best would be stored in this, this is really nifty. I am pleased with this purchase. I think this will also get some compliments. It is very cute and I haven't ever seen anyone around here with a toy bin like this. I did order two of these ... one for our basement and one for the kids' bedroom. My 4-year-old really likes how this looks in her room.Customer Review: Missing a Bin on Arrival

Pain in the tail to assemble; definitely takes two people or you will be really frustrated. We assembled the entire unit and THEN realized that one of the bins that hangs from the dowel was missing! Called Amazon and they said no problem, just return it and we will send another. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! It took forever to tweak the receiving "washers" so that the screws would screw all the way in. There is no way I am disassembling this thing. Why can't they just send the silly missing bin???? Luckily as I explained this difficulty, repeatedly, to the overseas operator, I think I annoyed her to the point that she connected me to a pleasant state-side customer service rep (thank goodness!). He resolved the issue by sending out an entire new unit out of which I can steal the missing bin and then return as a "missing parts" order. I will get charged in the meantime until the return is received but that is WAY better than disassembling this thing.
Once bin gets here, I think it will be great. Our one-year-old daughter is already enjoying it, though as a design issue I would say the shelves should be angled forward and spaced further apart to allow kiddos to view what's in the bins. They have to remember what is in those unexposed bins on the bottom to be prompted to go digging in them and that is a lot to ask of a one-year-old! It is very heavy so I definitely recommend installing a tether strap to the wall to keep it from injuring your child if it is pulled over by a spirited youngster.
Customer Review: Worst Assembly Instructions for Shoddiest Shelves!

I consider myself to be reasonably adept at assembling furniture. I've assembled entire dresser sets from Ikea in a few hours without much problem, including hinges. This product was just awful. The instructions consisted of one sheet of paper with no actual words and no steps to follow, just a vague idea of how the pieces should together. Unfortunately, the pieces pictured on the sheet bore little resemblance to the unlabeled pieces that actually shipped. I had to lay out the whole product and figure it out from scratch before assembling it.
Assembly was also more difficult because the baggie of hardware had a huge hole in it, so screws and bolts were everywhere in the box. I had to disassemble the whole box and pick through all the packing detritus to find everything. Once I began assembling, I saw that several of the pieces already had cosmetic damage, chips in the paint and small cracks. The cardboard pieces that served as backing for the bottom half did not slot in properly and had to be forced in. It was obvious that not much care was taken in any aspect of the production of this product.
I bought this product because it was less expensive than other similar items, but it still cost far more than it's worth. There's no way I'm taking the wretched thing apart now that I got it put together, otherwise I'd send it back, but don't make my mistakes!

I had been searching for a durable and safe children's toy organizer. On my final "time to make the decision" day, I found this on Amazon. It arrived two days later and I tackled putting it together and cleaning up my 14 month old's room.
The bins are not the quality that I expected. As a previous poster mentioned, they do have a separate bottom piece, but my bins are made of cheap material IMHO. I was not pleased with the overall quality of the bins. The organizer is sturdy though and a cinch to put together. The bins held more toys than I imagined.
My 14 month old daughter loves the organizer. She was very interested in the bright colored bins (gender neutral) and the toys I put in them. I marked that this toy is educational as well. It's a great way to teach your child to pick-up and sort.
Overall, I think the price was a little high for the quality (or lack there-of) for the bins. I'm fairly satisfied with the product though.

Overall, I am happy with this purchase. I didn't read the measurements when I ordered it. When it arrived it was a little smaller than I had imagined it would be. I assembled it on my own, which took a little work, but wasn't very difficult. At first, the fabric had a strange smell - almost like spray paint, or some sort of adhesive. I let it air out over night before I put any of my son's toys in it.
I was surprised by the good quality of this product. The frame is very sturdy, and the boxes are as well. Even with it being smaller than I expected, I will admit it holds a lot of toys. My favorite thing about this unit is that my son (he's 7 months old) loves to play with the boxes themselves. It's great to be able to organize his toys into each box, then get one box from the shelf and let him dig into it. It's easy to clean everything up after he's done playing. I just pack up the box and put it back on the shelf. This was definitely a good buy.
