Toys and Games Reviews of Banzai Wipeout Curve Water ParkCustomer Review: Knowing what you are getting helps: Summary: 4 Stars
The kids love it, 10 and 6 boys, and my 2 year old girl likes to hang out in the pool and spray her brothers with the water gun. The basketball hoop is not used all, but I have had to break up fights over the use of the water gun. They will play for 2-3 hours on it on a normal day, sometimes a couple times a week. We had a birthday party and there were 5 kids on it for 4-5 hours. It was a big hit and was nice not to have the kids in the house. There is room for me to sit in the little pool with the 2 year old.
During use, you need to occasionally let water out of the pool area. The plug for the pool is in the inside corner of the slide, which allows water to come out under the slide making the bottom of the slide wet too. It's difficult to get all the water out of the pool with the crappy plug too.
It's heavier then I thought it would be. The instructions suggest removing the water tubing before you pack it away every time which is not going to happen. It wasn't difficult to thread the water tubing through the slide, just time consuming and tedious. I guess if you are going to pack it away tightly you would need to do that.
It is very difficult to completely dry through and through. Water naturally gets inside the slide, so you must leave it up with the blower running for an hour, or more, also you must flip it over and let the bottom dry as well. It's worth doing all this to try to prevent the fabric, and seams, from rotting from mildew or moisture. We haven't even tried to put it in the bag it comes with. We fold it gently, place it on a tarp and drag it into our shed where it, hopefully, continues to dry. I didn't think the water bill jumped up that much with it.
Before I bought this I had been researching back yard inflatable slides for a couple of years. I came to the conclusion that the slides have, at most, a 2 year lifespan. It's not feasible to expect the seams, and fabric, to withstand the wear and tear of being wet, stressed by the air blower to keep it inflated, and the bouncing of the children as they play on it. My neighbors are on their 3rd one. I'll be happy with this slide if we make it through half of next summer with it.
I know I listed quite a few negatives, but all in all, it's worth it to be able to entertain the kids the kids in the back yard for hours at a time so I am satisfied so far. It also helped to get the free shipping and have had a few gift certificates to pay for it too.
