Toys and Games Reviews of Banzai Titan Blast RocketCustomer Review: A Blast! Summary: 5 Stars
Maybe we were just lucky, I don't know. Assembling the rocket was straightforward, took about 10 minutes. The instructions are clear and the key points are repeated right on the toy. Got four successful launches on our first four tries. My daughters (6 and 9) loved it, and learned to stand downwind to catch the "exhaust" spray.
- It takes almost a liter of water for each launch, so bring plenty.
- It takes about 130 pumps to launch. Kids can do the early pumps, but near the end the effort gets high enough you need an adult, or a strong kid.
- I wouldn't recommend this for windy days, the rocket would want to blow off of the base and would probably break the latch mechanism unless you actually guide the rocket during launch. And as it's (slowly) coming down, it drifts downwind, so you would need a field with a couple of hundred feet of open downwind space.
Customer Review: FRAGILE ...BROKE ON THE 3 FLIGHT BIRTHDAY GONE BAD Summary: 2 Stars
After some fiddling around with the assembly we were up and running...the kids were having a "titan blast" the first two launches in our 3/4 acre open lot until it landed after the 3rd flight in the grass and POOF!! it deflated with a tear near the nose of the inflatable bladder. What a waste of money! I called customer service expecting them to send me a new plastic inflatable bladder which probably costs them less than a dollar, but they were rude and refused. What a waste of money and a bummer on my daughters birtday! DON'T BUY IT SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FRUSTRATION! The policy was if you open it its used and they will not cover it... they offered selling me a new bladder for half the cost of the product. what a DISAPOINTING GIFTmet with even more frustration dealing with customer service.
Customer Review: Fun but difficult to operate Summary: 3 Stars
This rocket was fun once we got it going. It took several men several hours to finally get the thing to launch. The base is sealed and apparently the locking mechanism in ours was bad and refused to unlock so we could not launch. We finally banged it around enough to snap the latch inside and were able to launch it a few times. We bought it for a large family reunion and the kids were very excited but quickly became bored when the rocket would not work properly, lots of disappointment. The kids enjoyed it once it launched but it was a lot of work and really is too hard for small kids to pump up. All in all, fun, but a very frustrating experience and a LOT of work to get it to operate correctly.
Customer Review: SO FUN!! Great to scare neighbors Summary: 5 Stars
We just got this today and we did 4 successful launches out of 4 tries. You need to follow the instructions verbatim, no deviation and it's perfectly fine! Our neighbors came out to see what we were doing (we live in a high fire zone) and the thought of people out in an open field firing rockets off... probably scared the giblets out of them. We explained it was powered by water and air and they were watching our launches with us!
My kids are almost 7 and they would just take a big jump onto the launch nozzle and it worked just great for them. SO Fun! It really shot HIGH.
Also, don't do it near trees or power lines and you'll be fine!
Customer Review: Doesn't work Summary: 1 Stars
I got this for Fathers Day and the kids and I went out to fire it up. I read the directions twice and assemled the rocket to a T. All in place and ready to go, it would not release and fire. I tinkered with it, followed all the directions, went to the website for assistance (no help at all, better troubleshooting on websites like this one) and still no luck. This specific one does not work period. Way overpriced in my opinion even if it did work.
Yes, I am technically sound and know what I am doing.
